thought I would
take a change
from my tour of
Europe for a
while and do a
little softcore.
First up is the
first season of
the series Hotel
Erotica, made in
2002. Today:

Hotel Erotica
The
essence of
each episode
of the show is
Chloe (played
by Lauren
Hays), who is
the manager
the hotel,
reading a
thank-you
letter from a
past client.
Chloe then
reminisces,
with amazing
clarity, about
the visit.
Each episode
is just
wall-to-wall
simulated
hochmagandy
with plenty of
naked women.
Still waiting

The
Pelayos is a gambling
thriller where notorious
gambler Gonzalo Pelayo
(Lluís Homar), who has
been working on a system
to beat the roulette
table, has finally
cracked it but has
promised his family he
would gamble no more
because of a heart
condition. He convinces
his son Ivan (Daniel
Brühl) to quit being a
musician and form a crew
to follow his system.
So, Ivan gets a bunch of
his cousins and his
uncle Balón to join him
in fleecing the casino,
slowly but surely. After
a while, it begins to
attract the attention of
the casino boss
affectionately known as
'The Beast' (Eduard
Fernández), who goes
about making it as hard
as possible for them to
win, to the point where
he gets them unlawfully
banned from the casino.
While trying to end that
ban, Gonzalo, Ivan and
the rest of the crew
including Ivan's new
girlfriend Shui (Hui Chi
Chiu) formulate a plan
to bring down the casino
in one night and stick
it to The Beast. Solid
film that travels a
well-worn path, nothing
special but perfectly
watchable.
This is the 3rd update
featuring Blanca Suárez
in 12 months. Here's
hoping for a lot more in
the years to come.
