Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives was a successful comedy/drama show. There were 180 episodes and it ran for 8 seasons from 2004 to 2012. It is mainly concerned with the machinations of the residents of Wisteria Lane. These are the last caps of the residents.

The main ‘housewives’ were played by Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria. They were supported by several lovely women over the years such as Nicollette Sheridan, Dana Delany and Vanessa Williams. There’s no nudity but the women are often seen in their underwear.

This week: seasons seven and eight.

Bula

2022

Bula is an odd movie that stars Ayanna Misola

and Rob Guinto.

Ayanna's hubbie is a special-needs kind of guy who she takes care of real well.  Her eyes wander, however, as she develops an affection for Rob's boyfriend.  A couple of the clips have the in-bed action move seamlessly between Ayanna doing her husband and Rob doing her boyfriend, but never the twain (Rob and Ayanna) do meet.

A third actress, unknown to me, also showed up in a brief but impressive topless scene.

A note about Ayanna: I had mentioned in a previous post that Angeli Khang has been a busy little beaver this year but she is a distant second to Ayanna, who has appeared in some state of undress in more than a dozen TV series and movies in 2022.

Here are all the film clips from Bula. They are from Zorg's rip, which Brainscan has separated by actress.

Every Move She Makes

1983, vhs

Johnny's comments:

Every Move She Makes is a 1983 stalker thriller where Alison (Julie Nihill) is a country girl who comes to the city to start a new job and catches the eye of weird nerd Matthew (Doug Bowles) who she humours but isn't really interested in. Matthew won't let it go and he keeps following Alison which drives her crazy and makes her scared to leave her home. She does what she can legally to get rid of him but that only makes it more dangerous for her.

OK, although it is a very hysterical thriller which shows how easy it is for a woman to become vulnerable to a stalker. Matthew is portrayed as a non-violent person which makes Alison seem more hysterical and some scenes are a bit much, including a car chase on a freeway going the wrong way.

A little bit of nudity from Julie Nihill in Every Move She Makes which I think is her only nudity.

Army Wives

1987, vhs

Johnny's comments:

Army Wives is a drama where two lifelong friends Jill (Julie Nihill) and Wendy (Lian Lunson) get married to two brothers who are in the army. It follows the two of them as they wait or follow their husbands to where they are stationed. But it doesn't go well for either woman. Jill finds herself alone and struggling to bring up their children. Wendy turns to alcohol after a stint in Singapore and becomes more isolated from her strict husband.

There's some good stuff about how army wives have to deal with being apart from their husbands but there's so many ridiculous scenes in the movie and the last half hour is so over-the-top any believability is thrown out the window.

Tuna Retrospective

Many of you remember Tuna, who was the most prolific contributor of images, and the second-most prolific wordsmith during the first 15 years of the Fun House. For those who are not acquainted with him, it's high time you met. Although he passed away before the Blu-Ray age, his DVD captures and collages still hold up as some of the best work that has ever appeared on the internet. Enjoy!
