I
have never
seen this
movie,
although I've
heard of it.
It's a
semi-legendary
1970s
hippie-drug-scene
flick with a
distinctly
pro-pot,
anti-eatablishment
slant.
The film
features the
film debut of
John Lithgow
in a featured
role and a
very early
appearance by
Big Paulie
Sorvino in a
minor role.
Although
Charles
Durning was
already
approaching
50, his small
role also
represents one
of his first
movie
appearances.
Barbara
Hershey was
only 22 or 23
when the film
was lensed,
but was
already kind
of an
established
cult star from
her appearance
in Last
Summer. (This
film was
released the
same year as
Scorcese's
Boxcar Bertha,
which also
features
Hershey
nudity.)
This is the
very first
clip I've ever
seen from
Dealing. Back
in the 1990s,
we had some
sketchy VHS
captures, but
no clip.
Barbara
Hershey looks
magnificent.
I bought a DVD
of the movie.
If there's
anythiong else
interesting to
say, we'll get
back to the
subject
presently.
