Save The Date is a romantic comedy about a group of friends and their own trials in regards to love. Sarah (Lizzy Caplan) is in her first serious relationship and is reluctantly moving in with Kevin (Geoffrey Arend). Not long after, Kevin asks Sarah to marry him at a concert he is playing at and she declines, already reluctant about just moving in with him. Jonathan (Mark Webber), who has had a crush on Sarah and witness the proposal debacle, plucks up the courage to ask Sarah out and things go alright until the relationship hits that point again and Sarah becomes increasingly reluctant. Also, Kevin doesn't take being unceremoniously dumped well. All the while, Sarah's sister Beth (Alison Brie) is getting married to her long term boyfriend Andrew (Martin Starr). Enjoyable little romantic comedy that has a very indie feel that gets a bit tiresome (ugh, that music...), but Save The Date succeeds in spite of that. Lizzy Caplan is always highly watchable, even playing a frustrating commitment-phobe.
