"Diary of a Sex Addict" (2001)
Diary of a Sex Addict (2001) has enough plot for a hard core film. A married chef/restaurant owner is a sex addict. As the film opens, he is having his first session with a shrink. So, the plot? "Tell me what happened next." "I had sex with so and so." Only problem is they didn't make it a hard core, or even a soft core. The exposure is breasts only, putting it on the exposure level of a tittly flick, but with no where near enough plot. Michael des Barres has vigorous simulated sex with a lot of women mostly in poor light, and not in very revealing poses. Further, all of this hot sex takes place through obvious panties.
I could have missed a boob or two, but Rosannah Arquette as his wife shows half of an areola, and Tangie Ambrose, Shannon Leigh, Joey House and Eva Jenickova show breasts and partial buns. I will put up with a lot to see tits, but this one is just not worth the effort. D+.

Diary of a Sex Addict is a straight to vid which was filmed on video tape. It is lame, but add one more film to Rosanna Arquette's nudity list. Yet another new trick to market soft-core sex films: hire name actors, especially ones associated with nudity, put them in non-nude cameos, and put their names on the covers. Nastassja Kinski did her entire role sitting in a single chair, as did Ed Begley Jr. Alexandra Paul stood up, and even had a sex scene, but left her clothes on. Horatio said to Hamlet when informed that there was more on heaven and earth than that in his philosophy. "Whoa, that sucketh" Even Rosanna showed only one brief nipple. It isn't much of a softcore if you like nudity, but if you like rough sex talk, this could be your Gone With the Wind.

Hi Scoop. An interesting note on the pictures of the girl getting whipped in "Ramrodder" in the Sunday edition. I believe the guy doing the whipping is Bobby Beausoleil, probably the first member of the Manson family to kill anybody. He killed a musician of Charming Charlie's acquaintance named Gary Hinman. Beausoleil is still in prison.
The connection is actually even deeper than that. That grade-z film was actually filmed at Spahn Ranch in the summer of 1969. That is where the Manson Family hung out, and that is the very summer that they committed the brutal and infamous Tate/LaBianca murders. Creepy!

Scorpion found out after he made these collages that the credits were wrong. Apparently the names of there two actresses were switched. Hard to imagine how that happened since there were only 6 people in this episode titled "Before and After". So...we have the links and file names labeled correctly, but the images still have the names switched.

The naked Indian lass in the "Ramrodder" caps is in fact Marsha Jordan. One of the top five best westerns of all times! The "boobs on boobs" Indian wrestling scene is a classic.
Also, when I capped Eyes Wide Shut I did some web surfing to try and find out who the mysterious lady in the feather mask was. I remember finding a film buff site that addressed this mystery. A reader emailed that he or she was Abigail Good's cousin and that when that scene was shot, Julienne Davis was no longer around and that Ms Good was used for those shots. Makes sense since she wouldn't let Cruise see her face. Another oddity...after I posted these here caps of an "unknown," I realized that the lady in the first two caps is not the same lady as in the last four! Bizarre. I went back and watched the scene again and there is a tiny little jump cut between when the masked naked lady walks in the room and when she approaches Cruise. They switched actresses! Check the nipples and pubes.

Kathleen Turner to star in 'The Graduate' in Toronto
TORONTO (Reuters) - London's West End production of "The Graduate," starring Kathleen Turner, will have a limited pre-Broadway run in Toronto.
The production, which broke box office records at the Gielgud Theatre in London last year, will run at Toronto's Canon Theatre from Jan. 23 to Feb. 17, 2002.
Turner will return to the role of the sultry Mrs. Robinson, performing alongside new co-stars Alicia Silverstone and Jason Biggs.
The production, directed and adapted by Terry Johnson, will preview on Broadway on March 15, and opens in New York on April 4.
"The Graduate" will have two other pre-Broadway engagements -- in Baltmore from Jan. 10 to Jan. 20 and in Boston from Feb. 20 to March 10.

Funny how Broadway critics are suddenly being called upon to review the relative hotness of famous naked and lingerie-clad females, something which is probably quite alien to their natures, if you catch my drift. Mr. First Nighter may have to change his name to Mr. First Nightie.

"Women" out vamping

NEW YORK (Variety) - The Roundabout Theater Co. had no problem calling it the American Airlines Theatre. So why not get Virginia Slims to sponsor the Broadway producer's new smoke-belching production of ``The Women?''
``My mother smoked all during her pregnancy with me. Maybe that's why I'm so twisted,'' said Scott Elliott, who had each of his 22 actresses going through nearly a pack a performance in his Clare Boothe Luce revival.
At Thursday's premiere, a few of those females discussed other Elliott twists. Such as Jennifer Tilly's full-frontal flash in the play's big bathtub scene.
``The thinking was, if you're going to have a gun on the mantle, it better go off by play's end,'' explained Tilly, swimming in sequins at the party at Guastavino's. ``Same with putting a woman in a bathtub on stage in the year 2001. She'd better stand up eventually.''
Contrary to advance reports, the soap suds on opening night were hardly strategically placed.
The show's ladies-in-lingerie curtain call also raised temperatures.
Were the women willing? ``It was like a row of dominoes,'' said Isaac Mizrahi, who designed the evening's Vanity Fair-like striptease. ``One actress said yes and the rest didn't want to be left out.''
Kristen Johnston admitted as much. ``Just as long as I looked cute.''
Cynthia Nixon remembered negotiations a tad differently. ``I was told, This is what we're doing.''
After several low-wattage opening nights this fall, the ``Women'' fete definitely brought some much needed heat to the Broadway season, with the national media in full attendance to record the show's well-known stars.
According to Nixon, it truly is a long way from ``Sex and the City (news - Y! TV)'' back to ``The Women.''
``The characters in 'The Women' are ahead of us in 'Sex and the City' in that they are married and have children, but they're also behind us in another way,'' she opined. ``They don't know what they really want.''
