This month marks the 20th anniversary of Uncle Scoopy's Fun House. Can you believe it? In all that time, I have not taken a day off. Although my oldest son, aka Scoopy Jr, wrote the Fun House for a while, I was doing movie reviews in that period and sent in at least one review plus pics every day (there are more than 2000 movie reviews archived on scoopy.com, most of them linked from IMDb). Two and a half years ago I was in Russia for a while and Scoopy Jr again wrote the Fun House for two weeks. I did take a vacation from the Fun House then, but I still wrote Other Crap every day! Indeed, Other Crap itself is now more than 12 years old, and I've gone only one day without posting to that site, that being the day my nephew and I drove 1300 miles non-stop from Texas to relocate on the frozen tundra. I'm making that sound like it was tedious. Far from it. I never had the slightest urge to go a day without posting. It has been and continues to be a great source of fun! Many of our long-time contributors have been around since the 90s. I think Aesthete, Brainscan and Oz have all been around since before the millennium began. We've been around so long that some other major contributors have passed on: Hankster, Desperado, Tuna, the Insider, and Stone Cold come immediately to mind. There may be others as well, since some long-term contributors disappeared without a trace over the years. (For example, I have no idea what happened to Kanada Korner, even though Spaz was a steady rock almost every Sunday for more than a decade. He has not been logging in to read the page either, whatever that means.) Anyway, thanks to all of you for being around, and for supporting the site in so many ways: with your memberships, with your editorial contributions, and with research and comments.
