This film is a parody of 70s blacksploitation films, and it can be very funny.  (It's rated an impressive 7.8 at IMDb, and an even more impressive 86% at Rotten Tomatoes)

Although it parodies one lost genre, this movie itself comes from another! Remember Top Secret and Airplane? Well, BD has a "hit" ratio lower than those genre classics, but is mined from the same general vein. I miss that sort of film, and I caught myself laughing out loud quite a few times.
