The weird department. In my mailbox today - snail-mail from the U.S. Postal service, I found one of the oddest things ever. People know I have a taste for the unusual, and an offbeat sense of humor, so they send me strange things. This time it was a CD of calypso songs sung by Louis Farrakhan, who was then known as "The Charmer". These were recorded in the early 50's, before he became a member/spokesman for the Nation of Islam. He is an accomplished musician, who once played (masterfully, by accounts) Mendelssohn's "Violin Concerto" at one of his birthday celebrations. One Fish, Two Fish

"Invasion of the Bee Girls". Wives are turned into Queen Bees, and screw their husbands to death -- literally. Great premise for a movie. Also, great cast selection, including the original Price Is Right girl, Anitra Ford. (Were it not for the fact that there is very little other exposure by her, the scene would have been too dark for me to try). This was obviously low budget, and the lighting and photography left a lot to be desired. It did, as you can see from the collages, show a lot of flesh.

Brinke Stevens is one of the best known of the scream queens, the legendary eye candy girls who appeared in various summer exploitation movies, low budget SF, and other such fun trash through the 80's. She was the star of this one, "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama". Have to love the title. Let's see, initiation rite into a sorority involves a lot of spankings, and being covered with whipped cream (whic requires some showers), and then the initiates must break into a bowling alley and steal a bowling trophy. Bad luck befalls them when the elect to steal the one bowling trophy which serves as a prison for an evil imp. Even worse luck befalls them when they drop the trophy and set the evil free. Sound good? You betcha! Actually, it has enough humor and nudity to make a tolerable watch. Needless to say, the best scene is Brinke hosing off after the whipped cream prank. Pretty good captures, despite a cheaply-filmed movie because the frigging thing is on DVD. Forrest Gump isn't, but this is. Go figure. Showering. and a little more showering.

Brinke didn't have a starring role in "Slave Grils from Beyond Infinity", but she showed up long enough to get naked. I didn't cap these from the film itself, but from the trailer, which can be found on the "Slimeball" DVD. Although the Slave Girls were beyond the borders of infinity, that was just a hose to avoid paying Infinity's steep taxes. They were just barely beyond infinity, and still send their kids to the Infinity Public Schools, where their sons played for the Infinity Cougars in their championship years. Having a Slave Girl for a mom not only makes you popular with the coach, but helps train you in gladitorial alhletics. on the torture table. more naked squirming.

I don't know how GR found a copy of "Steaming". I didn't even know it existed on tape, I've never seen it on a cable network, and I've never seen these nude scenes - nude scenes from women who were major stars in their time. It is a filmed adaptation of a stage play about London women of verying backgrounds and social positions who all pal around together in a decaying steam bath. The film is, by all accounts, about as actionless as a stage play. Luckily for us, there are a scenes in the steam baths. Sarah Miles was already 44 when she did this movie, but she still looked slim and generally terrific, and she did a full-frontal nude scene. Vanessa Redgrave, her co-star, didn't age so well. She was 48, but looked every bit of it. Still she is Vanessa, however, and she is naked, albeit from the rear and side-rear.
