The Other Side of Midnight is a love triangle told against a backdrop of WW II, located in Paris, Washington and Greece. Adapted from a novel by Sidney Sheldon, his second, this is movie-making on the classic Hollywood scale, is a patience-testing 165 minutes long, and has the feel of much older films. It has a greater appeal to women, with a substantial male/female differential of 1.0 at IMDb, thus fulfilling our definition of a chick-flick.
