Love and Human Remains

Haven't seen Love & Human Remains in over a decade but this must be the 4th or 5th time I've seen this movie for some inexplicable reason. One of those first R-rated movies I saw on VHS (I seem to remember it also had a cinema release but I was too young) and used to come across every few years for another watch. Not so much a serial killer thriller as a slacker drama that is very much from the 90s, lots of stuff about sexuality very much rooted in the 90s so everyone using gay slurs affectionately in a way that wouldn't happen today except in the gay community, an incredibly hateful misogynist killer who absolutely loses it in the end in a way that almost harms the movie and an 18 year-old Mia Kirshner already looking much older than she did in the next year's Exotica, playing a psychic dominatrix who really should've had a bigger role in the movie. I'll probably end up watching the movie again in a decade or so, hopefully sooner and in HD; there's some good nudity in this movie.
