Hot leads for interested vidcappers...
Jeri Ryan!
This letter came from The Insider, and would probably be a worthwhile project, even sans nudity. Scoop and I don't believe we have seen any captures from this movie.
"I'm watching a movie now on HBO. If you have the equipment you should check this out. It's called Coed Call Girl. GREAT bikini stuff of Jeri Ryan. In the film her name is Jeri Lynn Ryan. Made in 1996, made for tv movie. What makes it good? MAJOR cleavage. So much you can see that she seems to have had a boob job."
Also from the mail bag:
"I was watching MTV today and noticed something quite cool! That new singer with the pink hair, Pink, has a new video called "Most Girls".. she is totally hot and throughout most of the video wears a very translucent top...maybe someone can cap it?"

"Necromancer" (1988)
After 12 years in hiding, Necromancer (1988) is being released Tuesday. I have only one question ... why? It stars the oft exposed Elizabeth Kaitan (billed Elizabeth Cayton) as a college girl who is raped by three low-lifes, and enlists the aid of a sadistic "necromancer" to seek revenge. I have to admit that Elizabeth looks good, and her acting is tolerable. So much for the good news. This film seems to be trying to be a late 70's exploitation slasher. It has the correct elements: a confusing plot, lame characters played by lame actors, really cheesy special effects, and gore.
Somehow, doing this on a bigger budget just doesn't work. Rather than creating a cult classic, they just made a very bad film.

"George Pal's 7 Faces of Dr. Lao" (1964)
Probably the most important of next Tuesday's releases, especially no that bullet has been delayed, is George Pal's 7 Faces of Dr. Lao (1964). It has no nudity, but is an important film, and has wonderful production value in every category. For those with no interest, grab the thumbs and pick one or two of the Barbara Eden images. For those who love the film, each of the "Color images" should bring back memories. Dr. Lao stared Tony Randal who played 7 roles (see the top of each image). The film won a special Oscar for makeup, and probably would have done much better any other year. It was up against:
My Fair Lady
Becket
Dr. Strangelove
Mary Poppins
The Unsinkable Molly Brown
Topkapi
The Best Man
Seven Days in May
Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte
The Night of the Iguana
Fate is the Hunter
The Pink Panther
The film is about an "Old Chinese Faker," Dr. Lao, who comes to a small Arizona town with his circus. The town is undergoing a struggle between an idealistic young newspaper man and a ruthless business man who is trying to buy the whole town. The young newspaper man has set his sights on Barbara Eden who is the librarian, and a widow. Dr. Lao's circus is mostly a circus of the mind, where you see a mirror of yourself, and maybe even learn to be happy. This is one of those rare films that can be enjoyed by both children and adults on totally different levels. I would call this a must own for any movie buff. Maltin says glowing words, and awards 3 stars. IMDB viewers see it the same way with 6.8/10. I hope you enjoy these, and the other non-nude images I have done. Thus far, all comments on these have been positive.

"Love Letters" (1983)
Useful movie. If you have trouble sleeping, I've found a way for you to deal with your disorder without any narcotics.
What a dreadful, tedious, slow paced, syrupy movie this is. It is very comparable in tone as well as in quality to the notorious "Moment by Moment".
In structure, it is similar to The Bridges of Madison County. Jamie Lee reads the love letters of her recently deceased mother, written by a romantic soul who is not her father. Apparently mom had an affair, back when Jamie Lee was five or six, and Jamie's encounter with these 15 year old letters has a profound effect on her own attitudes.
The movie was meant to be a five hanky weeper, but it just doesn't have the right pacing, characterizations, or depth. And, Lor', is it boring.
Just out of curiosity, I looked up the director/writer, Amy Holden Jones, to see what her career looked like. It turns out that this was the highlight of her directorial career. Her other three movies were Slumber Party Massacre, Maid to Order, and The Rich Man's Wife. Her writing credits
were somewhat better, but bizarrely eclectic: the original Beethoven, the remake of The Getaway, Indecent Proposal, and Mystic Pizza. Quite an assortment, eh?
Roger Corman produced this film, and we must thank him for continuing to give work to our main main Bud Cort, who is in this one as well as yesterday's Cormanfest, Brain Dead.
IMDB summary: 5.9 out of 10. Much too high, in my estimation.
DVD info from Amazon. It's bad enough that the DVD contains a bad movie, but the DVD is also a poor transfer, and a poor value.
The colors are partially washed out, and there is too much contrast in the print.
There is no widescreen version
There are no special features except some cheesy biographies.
Jamie Lee Curtis shows her body in the bathtub, and in some sex scenes. Plenty of breasts and some brief rear views. And in her early twenties, Jamie Lee was the Jennifer Connelly of her own time. Very comparable to Jennifer, really. Both smart girls with great chests. Both average actresses with
interesting atypical faces. Well, Jamie's body is a plus for the movie. Pretty much the only plus.

From ICMS
A big hello to you, uncle Scoopy, and to Jr. and Tuna too of course!
I think I have the solution for you as to who Unknown 1 is in "Stuff from Tomcat". It is certainly not Jean Carmet who was a respected French actor. Indeed, in French Jean ( John ) is a male first name, the female form is Jeanne. The woman in your collages is French model and actress Laurence Treil. She's not a big name but she doesn't hurt the eyes, does she? And the film is indeed "La Vouivre" and is based on a novel by Marcel Aymé which takes place just after World War I in the French Jura region. A rest area (photo included) on French motorway A 39 that passes nearby this location, was named after this novel, which is based on a local legend I think.
The credits :
scans 00+01 come from German publication "Cinema Sex im Kino '91"
scans 02-06 are from French defunct "Lui" magazine from February 1992 ( unfortunately I didn't store the magazine properly and it shows in the scans, I apologize for it )
scans 07-09 are from French "Photo" 02/1992
I also included some Treil vidcaps I found in my archives and guess what ? One is from Charlie (same movie) and the three others are from Scanman (additional movie)!!
(Scoop's note: and here are TomCat's pictures relabeled as well, including the other actress. Thanks to all the other who correctly identified Treil, as well as German actress Kathy Kriegel.

For those interested in the "La Vouivre" article that ICMS scanned from Cine, here's a condensed English-language summary.
For many years, Georges Wilson has been an accomplished directorial presence on the French stage. This film, "La Vouivre", is his first attempt at film direction. It is his own script, based upon a highly regarded novel by Marcel Ayme about a legendary serpentine wood-nymph, which emerges from the river in human form and interacts with human lives. Director Wilson featured his own son, Lambert, in the lead role.
Arsene returns from the tumult of the first world war to his small rural town. This creates quite a stir, because during the war he had been reported missing, and even presumed dead, but now he seems to be perfectly well except for a few scars. But it seems that he had a head injury and that may have had a profound psychological effect on him.
About this time, a legendary Vouivre is spotted in a nearby river, and the rest of the movie deals with Arsene's grasp of reality. He sees the real world, he still sees the war, he sees the world of the wood nymph. Within a short time he is not clear what is real and what is imaginary.

Comments by Brainscan:
Found this Britney Spears scan on Usenet from one terrific scanner named MagicScan; haven't seen it on the Funhouse and thought you and the boys might like it.
And then there is Carmen Electra from the latest edition of FHM; now who HASN'T seen her naked? But the images are new and interesting so I thought, why not?
That leaves Cony Breukhoven. Seems she is a Dutch singer who posed for the local version of Penthouse. With lungs like those who couldn't sing?

Comments By RDO referring to Tom and Scoop's mystery guest from the movie "Vouivre":
The dark haired woman is most certainly not Jean Carmet. For that matter, neither is the red-head. Being French, Jean's name is masculine, and all of his other movies listed at IMDB give his characters male names.)
Suzanne Flon was born in 1918, so that rules her out.
Kathy Kriegel is a possibility for the dark-haired woman. Her filmography dates are about right, though no birth date is given.
Paola Lanzi is listed for only two movies, and is a possibility for the red-head, since her other movie is from 1978, and she looks about the right age for a second-of-two movie in 1989.
I think Macha Méril is the best bet for the dark-haired woman (Here she is in scenes from
"Vagabond").
I suppose Anne-Marie Pisani is a possibility for either woman, too. Again, no birth date, but filmography spanning the appropriate years for a woman of either age.
I'm betting on Macha Méril and Paola Lanzi.

Another wallpaper collage by Zon. I was a little surprised to even see this one in my in box. After all, Alicia's 15 minutes were up about 2 years ago. Granted, "Blast from the Past" was entertaining, but not because of Alicia...Christopher Walken stole the show that time around. Believe it or not, the man can do comedy. Is his own Walken way of course.
