"Plucking the Daisy" (1956)

En effeuillant la marguerite (1956) or, Plucking the Daisy, is a lovely little French comedy staring Brigette Bardot. She wrote a book called Plucking the Daisy, exposing all of her general father's friends for the lechers the are. When dad discovers she wrote it, he tries to send her off to boarding school, but she escapes to Paris, where her brother lives. Her brother has claimed to be doing well, but actually works at a Balzac museum, which he told Bardot was his house. She breaks in, and sets up housekeeping, even selling a very rare book to pay expenses.

On the train to Paris, she met a news reporter and ladies man, who courts her. When her brother tells her the truth, she enters a strip contest to get enough cash to buy the book back. This is a comedy in the Mollier, or On the Road To ... tradition, and has some funny moments. It also has a lot of nudity for 1956. Bardot has good see-through exposure, and several unknowns are shown nude at the strip contest. Maltin says 2 stars, but IMDB readers have it at 7.7/10. As a quaint comedy, I give it a C+.

    "Leprechaun 4: In Space" (1996)

Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996) goes beyond bad, all the way to atrocious, nauseating, bilious and abominable. This time, the Leprechaun alternates between a bad Brit and ok Irish accent, lives in space, and has the ability to be blown up and automatically reassemble himself. The "Space Marines" are buff and brave, but are at a loss with people who won't stay blown up. Rebekah Carlton plays an alien space princess, and shows her breasts as a sign that she is going to kill someone. This was her second, and, so far, final film. There are homages to several other films here.

IMDB says 2.8/10, despite the fact that 33 people (probably the entire cast and crew) gave it a 10. Tuna says F.

There's Nothing Out There is a prototype for the Scream series. Made in 1991, it used the same essential gimmick as Scream - one of the characters has seen every horror movie ever made, and knows not to walk in the woods or hide in the basement or leave the doors unlocked or lose one's virginity. Good concept, juvenile execution. While the film is just kinda OK, the DVD is outstanding - full length commentary, outtakes, audition footage, stills, lots o' extras. Also, it's a movie with substantial T&A, and that value was minimal in the earlier, poor quality, 4:3 transfer. The DVD makes it shine - and adds more titillation in the extras.

The debut of the new Trek series "Enterprise" is next Wednesday, and all I can say is hold on your tri-corders! 7 of 9 will always be have a special place in the hearts of Trek fans like myself, but I may have to invoke a commercial slogan and say "move over Jeri, now there's something meatier". That's right gang...an actress on Trek who is willing to show some skin!

Here are great scans of the Vulcan first officer posing mostly naked for Maxim. Thanks to Interlude for the scans.

  • Carré Otis, topless, but nipples are hidden by her arm as she poses for the cover of the German GQ.

  • Mini Anden, just head shot on the cover of the German Vogue.

  • Katja Flint, another head shot.

  • Nina Ruge, yup, one more mug shot.

Topless and full frontal 'caps from "Blame it on Rio" by El Kabong. Links #4 and #5 also have Demi Moore's slight nipple exposure.

    Phoebe Cates
    (1, 2)

Classic 80's nudity. #1 is Phoebe's famous topless scene from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (1982) by Dann. Link #2 features Phoebe showering and swimming nekkid in scenes from the "Blue Lagoon" rip-off, "Paradise" (1982), by Akira.

Jewel Jewel apparently has been sleeping on a cot in the Vault of Obscurity lately. But she did come out for an appearance on Letterman Thursday night. She looked very good in her tight shirt and blue jeans, but someone forgot to offer her a hair brush. Vidcaps by Dai.

A few comments about Pine Cleaner's list in today's Fun House:

I have seen "The People Under The Stairs" several times and I don't recall any nudity from AJ Langer. She was born in 1974 and the film was released in 1992, meaning she was probably only 17 during filming (this was around the same time she was in "Drexell's Class" on TV -- with another girl who turned into quite the babe, Brittany Murphy.) Anyone have caps or a description of this scene? The most exposure I've seen of her was in a bikini in Baywatch and an otherwise awful movie called "Meet The Deedles."

Beth Broderick was also topless in an episode of "Women: Stories of Passion" a few years ago.

Ever Carradine's nudity in "Lost and Found" is just a butt-in-a-thong shot. Nice, but nothing you wouldn't see at the beach.
