"Spring Fever USA" (1989)

Spring Fever USA, which IMDB has renamed Lauderdale, is one of a number of college kid Spring Break films. These all feature the same plot elements, including lots of breasts, a college student who shouldn't be there but is, Strange evil adults who are after one or more of the kids, wet T-shirt contests, belly flop contests, and lots of slapstick. This one has all of the above elements, but is not one of the better films in this genre. A UCLA student falls instantly in love with a girl who walks by, and moments later, rescues her from kidnappers. The rest of the film has the student following the girl across country and trading possession of her with the kidnappers.

Seems the young woman is from a wealthy family, and has a huge block of family stock. The kidnappers are attempting a hostile takeover, and are trying to force her to sign a proxy. She just gets irritated that they are interrupting her partying. The young woman is played by Janine Lindemulder in her first role. She went on to become a Penthouse Pet, a porn star, and half of Blondage. You may also remember her as the lesbian camp director in Private Parts. After 67 films, she has reportedly given up porn this year. As she is in her early 30's, I would guess that she will continue to make films of some sort.

I suspect that many of the Unknowns are minor porn actresses based on the fact that Ron Jeremy played a small role as a motorcycle creep. You need to be really bored to watch this one.

    "Bedazzled" (2000)

OK, I haven't seen it. I capped the pictures of Liz Hurley from a trailer, which you can find here. Are you happy now? Silly thing is rated PG-13 anyway.

I don't know if a movie starring Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley could really be that good, but the original version was very funny. It came out in 1967 with Dudley Moore in the Brendan Fraser role (Is it possible that Dudley Moore and Brendan Fraser could play the same role? Well, I guess it wasn't based on height.)

Peter Cook played the Elizabeth Hurley part. In this case, you can understand how Cook and Hurley could play the same part, except that Hurley is quite a bit more masculine.

If you think that Dudley Moore has about as much comic talent as a plate of lumpy potatoes, then you never saw him work with his partner, Peter Cook. They were magnificent together, geniuses at comic timing the equal of Cleese and Palin, or Bob and Ray, Seinfeld and Alexander, or anyone else for that matter.

In addition the very funny Peter Cook wrote the script, and the very musical Dudley Moore wrote the score, and Raquel Welch played one of the deadly sins. Guess which one.

I suppose the pacing would seem slow today. Old comedy always does. The frenetic pace of today's comics has made it difficult for us to stay patient with the Bob & Ray's and the George Burns's and Jack Benny's. But I'll bet it's still funny. I guess I'll rent it when I see the new Bedazzled, and compare them.

These links refer to the 1967 version, which they are going to re-release on VHS when the new version hits the theaters in a few weeks. (So the new version has already served some purpose, even if it isn't worth seeing!)

IMDB summary: 7.1 out of 10 (1967 version).

VHS info from Amazon (1967 version).

Miscellaneous stuff from the special teams

Industry Insider is a filmmaker and photographer who occasionally sends in unique items - film he has shot at his home, set-up shots, etc.

  • Here is some material from the 60's - a woman named Elaine Giftos - no nudity, but sexy pictures of a woman rarely seen. (1, 2)
  • And here is Annik Borel, who was featured in some magazines (see attached), and whom Insider shot a few rolls of in Hawaii. (1, 2)

Stone Cold is a regular contributor, who passed along these. Unfortunately, he didn't send any commentary with them.

  • Roseanne Barr. The second scan is not from Stone Cold. I can't see anything which identifies the guy, although I can't blame him for wanting to remain anonymous with a subject like this. (1, 2)
  • Chloe Hunter (her claim to fame is that she, not Mena Suvari, is the stomach on the famous American Beauty ad) (1, 2, 3, 4)
  • Jennifer Grey - a pretty picture with a hint of transparency in the top. Doesn't she change noses more often than Mr Potato Head? I think she looks gorgeous, but I liked her original nose, and didn't see any reason to change it.
  • Britney Spears - what in the world is going on in this picture? This should be in one of those contests to come up with the best caption.

Incidentally, TomCat is on holiday, which kept us from those all-important pictures from the Polish Grammies.

    Humor

Alec Baldwin declared yesterday that he would leave the country if George W Bush is elected. No kidding. He really said that. My thoughts:

    1. Boy, that Bush campaign will resort to anything to get votes!

    2. Gore immediately saw the impact of this strategy, and vowed to deport Patrick Swayze if he's elected.

    3. It's all a Gore plot for the redistribution of wealth. The US has so much, and many countries are so poor they can't even afford one Baldwin.

    4. OK, Bush, I'm tempted to vote for you. I'm THIS close. Throw in that goofy-lookin' Baldwin that works with Pauly Shore, and you have my vote.

    5. Clinton immediately vowed to work day and night for Gore, in order to keep Kim Basinger from leaving.

  • Celeblover
Claudia Michelsen More German babes! Here is Claudia, topless and tattooed in "Wilder Westerwald".
Ellen Ten Damme No tattoos this time, but there is more topless exposure from "Wilder Westerwald".
    Ina Klink From "Liane".
Jenny Deimling Topless as well as full frontal shower scenes from "Gomez - Kopf oder Zahl".
Katrin Buehring From "Ein Mann fällt nicht vom Himmel"
Luci Van Org Also from "Liane".
Sonja Giesse Still more from "Liane". Of the 3 ladies vidcapped from "Liane", Sonja has the best combo of goodies and exposure
Tamara Rohloff This looks like it was difficult to 'cap, but Celeblover came through with these topless images in scenes from "Ein Mann fällt nicht vom Himmel".
    Trainer
Ann-Kathrin Kramer Still more babes from German TV! Here is Ann-Kathrin "Heiß und kalt".
Marijam Agischewa Also from "Heiß und kalt", but sadly, not very nude.
Saskia Valencia One more from "Heiß und kalt". Posterior views only this time around.
    Scorpion
Linnea Quigley A very special thanks to Scorpion for these first 3 scenes from "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers"! First of all..this puppy is a true classic from the 80's scream queen genre. Directed by B-movie legend Fred Olen Ray, and starring the one and only Linnea Quigley!

What makes this one really special to me is that one of my best friends was one of the executive producers. I'm trying to twist his arm to do some exclusive commentary for the Fun House, but the jury is still out on that one.

Dawn Wildsmith In "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers". Of the 3 girls from "HCH" Dawn is the only girl without a chainsaw.
Michelle Bauer One more from "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers".
Fiona Gélin Full frontal scenes from 1987's "Sahara Heat".
Jocelyne Lavoie In the movie "Possession"
Monique Gabrielle Looking spectacular in these topless and full frontal scenes from 1989's "Silk 2". Two bits of trivia from the IMDb. #1. Monique is the title character in "Silk 2", but not in the first "Silk". #2. It seems that a good chunk of "Silk 2" was edited into a different movie...1994's "Angel of Destruction".

Speaking of stock footage...I recently saw the absolute worse use of stock footage I think I have ever seen! Courtesy of our good friend Fred Olen Ray I might add.

The movie is being shown on cable this month under the title "The Capitol Conspiracy", (IMDb lists it as "The Prophet".) It's just another horrible Don "The Dragon" Wilson flick, I strongly advise against watching it.

Regardless...the stock footage I'm talking about happens at a point in the movie when "The Dragon" is supposedly flying from D.C. to LA. When they cut to the 'plane in flight' sequence, they show a clip that must be at least 20 years old! How could I tell? Well first of all, the film looks like it's bee abused. Some of the home movies Sr shot of the family back in the 70's look better! Second...the plane they show is an Eastern Airlines jet. Didn't they go out of business like 10 years ago?

Shari Shattuck A great B-movie babe that for some reason never really became popular. She was actually a decent actress (I see that she went on to do some Soap Opera work). If you ignore the horrible 80's hair cut, you can see in these scenes from the movie "Tainted" that she had a great body. Two of her other movies that offer great exposure that I would love to see 'caps from are "The Spring" and "Dead On". It's been a while, but I recall some excellent nudity in both of those (and better hair styles too!)
    Tons of Variety
    Fabiana Udenio
    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
#1 is a great scan of Fabiana looking sexy out on the town. #2-4 are versions of the famous topless scene from "Diplomatic Immunity". #5 features partial breast exposure from "Bride of Re-Animator"
    Clara Bellar
    (1, 2, 3, 4)
Excellent vidcaps from "Another 9 1/2 Weeks", the prequel to the Rourke classic (are those words allowed to be used together like that?) Thanks to HBS Graphix.
Michelle Johnson From her first credited role in "Blame it on Rio".

Now here is a question for the movie buffs. Now that Michael Caine and Gene Hackman aren't doing as many movies, combined with the increased number of cable and satellite channels. Can the Caine-Hackman theory still be proven? If not, is there a new theory that needs to be tested?

    Tina Arning
    (1, 2, 3)
Going topless in scenes from the Showtime series "Resurrection Blvd.".
Andrea Corr Tight pants a just a bit of side breast exposure, by Burkittsville
Britney Spears Another great collage from the Empty-V VMAs. Thanks to DAI.
Daryl Hannah A very nice B&W with lots of skin (but no exposure of course), by PicCap.
Penny Lancaster No clue who she is, but the topless exposure is great, plus they combine a touch of the weird by adding the dog!
Ali Landry Fantastic vidcaps of the Doritos babe from E! Wild on Bali, by Bobdfish. If only she'd show off the goods!
    Ashley Judd Comments by Chumba:
Ashley is a real cutie - and if it wasn't for that fact I would have given up with removing the text from this scan - across both arms and bottom left too. This image took the large proportion of the day to complete - probably the longest I've spent on a scan, but the end results definitely justify the effort (IMHO) :-)
Jennifer O'Dell and Rachel Blakely Comments by Chumba:
From the Girls on TV section of the October FHM (USA) - two of The Lost World's finest. I've never seen the show but Rachel has been a favourite of mine ever since her days in Aussie soap Neighbours where she played Gabby Willis - there HAVE to be some decent scans of her out there somewhere....
Angelina Jolie On the cover of Loaded. An almost fully exposed breast for the Jolie fans. Here's a question...is it me or do some magazines airbrush out some of her tattoos?
Kate Winslet A very beautiful nekkid, but not nude scan of Kate by aRTisAne.
Aussie Softball Team Not even wearing a smile.
