Lady Macbeth is a drama about Katherine (Florence Pugh), who was married off to Alexander (Paul Hilton) in a completely loveless union. Alexander keeps her at a distance and Katherine is completely bored and wants more. During one of Alexander's frequent trips away from home, Katherine has an encounter with the farm workers and meets Sebastian (Cosmo Jarvis), the most vociferous of them who seems to take a liking to her. One night, he enters the house and attempts to seduce Katherine. After an initial rejection, she gives in and they begin an affair, showing no regard for hiding it as Katherine's maid Anna (Naomi Ackie) is very aware it is going on. When Alexander comes home, he is there to confront Katherine about rumours of an affair and she shows no attempt to hide it. Alexander attacks Sebastian and in the melee, Katherine and Sebastian kill Alexander and bury the body. The couple become more brazen with their relationship and this isn't going to end well for either of them. Pretty decent drama with a great lead performance from Florence Pugh, who impressively conveys the Lady Macbeth type character.
