Force of Destiny is the
final movie from director
Paul Cox that mirrors his
own health struggles. It's
about an artist (David
Wenham) who needs a liver
transplant and goes
through all the stages as
he strikes up a
relationship with a marine
biologist from India
(Shahana Goswami).
A bit wishy-washy with
lots of dream sequences
and mystical thoughts but
not much insight into
coping with knowing you
might die. Also has a few
embarrassingly overwrought
scenes. Disappointing.
