Marjorie Cottreel in La Vie De Jesus (Zipped .avi). The star of
this film is David Douche (I'm not kidding. Check the link
              below.) I'll give you
two guesses what his suitcases are called, and the first guess
doesn't count. IMDb lists four performers named "douche," and each
of them has but a single credit at IMDb.

Kristina "The Douche" McNamee seems to be a
professional ventriloquist. (Also an excellent name for a
                professional female wrestler.)
It's too bad that they don't have any
biography for Douche Bag Donna, because I'm really curious if
she's the same Douche Bag Donna I took to the junior prom. I do regret greatly that the career didn't work
out for Douche Bag Donna, because I'd love to hear Oprah
                introduce her.

Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe). White asterisk: expanded format.
Blue asterisk: not mine. No asterisk: it probably sucks.

The Corruptor (1999)
The Corruptor is a cop film set in New York's Chinatown, and concerns a
period when open gang warfare necessitated an Asian Gang Unit. The great Chow
Yun-Fat plays the decorated head of the unit, into which a white rookie (Mark
Wahlberg) is placed. Both have layer after layer of secrets, as do the heads
of the Tong and the Fukienese Dragons, the two warring factions. Add the FBI
to the mix, and you can expect anything to happen.
IMDb readers say 5.5. Berardinelli says 2.5 stars, and Ebert 1.5. It is
essentially a Hong Kong police action thriller and nearly non-stop action. The
film is actually focused on the relationship between Chow Yun-Fat and Mark
Wahlberg, which is complex. There is no shortage of bloody gun battles, car
chases, etc. The director, James Foley, in a feature length commentary, talks
about a lot of MPAA trouble with the violence. It certainly doesn't lack pace,
and some of the plot elements were a surprise. This is a C.

Dann reports on Lucky Number Slevin:
Nothing is what it seems in this really good crime thriller from 2006.
Unfortunately, this twisty tale is so full of surprises that if I tell you
much about it, I'll spoil it for you.
A young man lands in the middle of a war
being planned by two of the city's biggest crime lords when he is mistaken
for the friend he is visiting. He is tailed by the police, manhandled by
members of both crime families, and stalked by a world-class assassin.
The whole cast was outstanding, and this
thing kept my interest from start to finish. A hilarious nude scene by
Jennifer Miller and a neat nipslip by Lucy Liu (middle row of
collage) made it even better, and the ending came as a complete surprise,
as it will to most viewers.
