RDO .... Veronica Cartwright
  • When I started looking at some of this stuff from RDO, I was shocked. I was vaguely aware of "Inserts" (although I've never seen it), and the fact that it was a 1970's Richard Dreyfuss film about directing porno loops. Well, I'll tell ya. These scenes would have enlivened the hell out of "Mr. Holland's Opus". First up is Veronica Cartwright. If you remember her unglamorous roles in major movies like Alien and The Right Stuff, you may be a bit surprised to see her spending an entire movie naked with her legs apart. This must have been a bit of a shocker in 1975. Judging only from the ratings and summaries in the IMDb, it appears to be a pretty good movie as well.

  • Veronica Cartwright. various overhead shots of her and Stephen Davies. Cartwright is the older sister of Angela Cartwright (Make Room for Daddy), and played Fess Parker's daughter in Dan'l Boone. I got to wondering one day whatever happened to Fess Parker, who was probably the biggest TV star of the 1950's after Lucy and Berle. Seems like he's still alive and running a vineyard. Yup, he's set aside the ol' coonskin cap to become the American Rothschild.
  • What can I tell you? A link to Fess Parker's home page. It actually looks pretty cool. He's also purchased a charming hotel in the wine country, and renamed it. OK, what can I tell you. I've never tried the wine, and maybe it's a little corny, but the guy was my boyhood hero, we both attended the University of Texas, and he's even from Fort Worth. I feel like pitching his line, OK?

BUT from 1966, when she left Dan'l Boone, until she made this movie in 1975 ... ZILCH. She didn't get jack straws. Perhaps that explains why she was willing to show The Cave of the Seventh Happiness to get the job.

  • Also in "Inserts", Jessica Harper, a talented comic actress who has worked with Woody Allen, Gary Shandling, Richard Benjamin and others. She didn't do any scenes as graphic as Cartwright's, but she showed her cupcakes.

  • I been up 'n down some on this crazy world, and this crazier internet, and I see'd me some shit, but I ain't seen much shit crazier than this. Seems like there is a porn star named Christi Lake who is especially well known for her "Fan Fuxxx" program, which allows you, the fan, to screw Ricki for real in a video.   • Hi, everyone, it is me, Uncle Scoopy, back from a long rest in a quiet place where people have butterfly nets and talk to you in sincere tones. I'm speaking, of course, of Al Gore's house. No, not really. I've just been resting up a bit for the hard upcoming winter. I've also been looking around for some images that are a departure from the same old stuff. I think you'll enjoy these. First, it's a real treat from Scanman. Some of you people in North America probably don't realize how much censorship goes into your TV, even your cable stations. I'll just bet you that the MTVideo for "Smack My Bitch Up" doesn't look anything like the one Scanman picked off his Dutch feed! (NOTE: one visitor wrote in to say that MTV ran it uncut, late at night, for about a week before caving.)

  • Some of you have written in to ask if a certain well-known girlie mag really has nude pictures of Geena Davis. Who knows?   • A bunch of you also asked about this, and BeerCaps is on top of it .... Halle Berry on the Tonight show. This dress should be part of the mandatory dress code for all female celebs, except maybe Reno, Shalala, and Albright. Must see.
  • Yes, Anabelle Gurwitch of "Dinner and a Movie" did do a topless scene in "Not Like Us". Maybe. I say maybe because she played an alien being fitted for a huuman disguise, so who knows how much is prosthetic in this scene?
  • The vidcapper Mysterio really has an eye for the antiquarian and the unusual. Submitted as evidence, his caps of Louise Brooks from the 1928 D.W. Pabst movie Pandora's Box. I saw Miss Brooks from time to time when I lived in Rochester, New York and would chat up Dr. James Card, the film curator at the George Eastman House. (I believe that Miss Brooks and Doctor Card were quite close. How's that for really up-to-date gossip? Take that, Drudge!). A voracious reader and author ("Lulu in Hollywood" and the intro to "The Parade's Gone By"), she was always brilliant and reclusive, a genuine intellectual in a business where (to quote James Woods) "there's no call for it". I've never actually seen her on screen, young and beautiful as she is here. Dr. Card's insider book about the silent era, "Seductive Cinema", which I've never read, is supposed to be an interesting read as well and is filled with references to his good friend Miss Brooks.
  • Possibly the first truly great movie ever made was a 1918 surrealist classic called "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". Mysterio did not cap this silent classic, but rather the 1989 Dr. Caligari. There isn't any nudity, but you just have to see Laura Albert in this scene. Trust your uncle on this one.
  • The lovely runway model, Esther Canadas, has never shown any flesh in the Fun House ... until now. Here she is in a sheer top.

  • Fovea. OK, I never got any letters, I don't even know who she is. But this lie is now just a matter between me, my God, and the two people I love most. Fovea and Madeline Albright. She does look like Halliwell in this picture. Fovea, I mean, not Albright. Albright looks more like Aunt Cora on "Bewitched".
  • Miou-Miou. She cleverly tried to evade the French law requiring actresses to have only one name by making her first and last name the same. (Just kidding. She's actually a very sexy Parisian, nee Sylvette Hery. I feel ancient when I realize she is now nearly 50.). These are terrific vidcaps by PAL from "Les Valseuses". Unfortunately, they violate the Geneva Convention, which considers that subjecting viewers to a naked Depardieu is a war crime, and requires the Fun House to remain a Depardieu-free zone in order to maintain our neutrality.
  • Brigitte Fossey from the same movie, and, oh no, more Depardieu, but thankfully clothed this time. Even if you don't love European movies as much as I do, and even if you find Depardieu as silly as I find him, I think you will find this movie to be charming, funny and intelligent. (And, more important, amoral) It is called "Going Places" in the USA.
  • Another one from PAL of a scene new to me: Joanna Cassidy in "The Fourth Protocol".
  • Well, I'll be a blue-nosed gopher. I would have bet that we'd never get to see any of the goodies from Marisa Tomei. In all these years, the only thing we've been able to dredge up was the long-distance shot of her breast falling out of the negligee in the Broadway play. Then she goes and wears a sheer top in public!
  • This is the first time I've ever seen vidcaps of Barbara Bach's nude scene in "Force 10 From Navarone". A big "Attaboy" to Hugo for both selection and execution.
  • Although I've seen many vidcaps from "Lair of the White Worm", this is the first I've seen of this scene.
