Today, Tuesday,
12 August this
year is the
fiftieth
anniversary of
the death of Ian
Fleming.
Although he did
a number of
things in his
life, he is best
known for a
dozen novels and
two collections
of short stories
all based on the
character James
Bond. So I felt
it is fitting
that I do some
caps of the
James Bond
movies.
Originally, they
tried to make
one a year but
the scale of the
movies soon
meant that the
time between
movies had to be
increased.
There is very
little nudity,
with just the
occasional
nipple poking
out and the
occasional bare
backside.
However, the
women are
beautiful.

There are lots
of other snow
bunnies, most
of whom are
identified.
There also a
lot of images
from the
Blu-ray
extras:

Balada
Triste de
Trompeta
(2010)
Johnny's
comments:
Balada
Triste de Trompeta
(The Last Circus)
is an insane drama
where young Javier
is watching a
clown (de la
Iglesia regular
Santiago Segura)
when the show is
interrupted and
the clown is
forced to join the
Spanish Civil War,
where he saves his
platoon. He also
becomes a
surrogate father
for Javier before
the clown is
brutally beaten.
Now in 1973,
Javier (Carlos
Areces) is a clown
who joins a
travelling circus
where he meets
acrobat Natalia
(Carolina Bang)
and falls
instantly in love,
but there's one
problem. She's the
property of the
the circus's
showcase clown
Sergio (Antonio de
la Torre) and he's
a complete
arsehole and
treats her like
dirt when he's not
beating up on her.
After a while,
Natalia begins to
show affection
back and they go
to the fair
together for a
date until Sergio
catches them and
beats Javier to a
bloody pulp and
also hits Natalia.
Javier thinks that
this will make
Natalia see the
error of her ways
and leave Sergio,
but when he comes
back the circus,
he finds them
having sex and he
goes ballistic,
returning the
beating to Sergio
and going so far
as disfiguring.
Javier runs away
to escape the
authorities and
the circus is
shutdown, but
Javier wants
Natalia and he
will now do
anything have her.
But, there's still
the problem of
Sergio...
Wow, this movie
has the crazy vibe
that de la Iglesia
seems to have in
every second film
he makes and I've
got to admit I
like his crazy
stuff (Acción
Mutante, El Día de
la Bestia, Perdita
Durango) better
than his
straighter stuff.
And this is the
most batshit crazy
he's ever been and
I loved every
minute of it
including a final
act that so insane
that is best
described as a
clown with a
machine gun versus
a disfigured
monster.
