Sunday Cable Round-Up Revisited

Entourage. Deep at Sea did manage to get a nice HD vid of the Perrey Reeves lingerie scene. (Sample below.)

As a bonus, he also managed to bag some of Perrey's previous flashes of flesh.

  • * Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe).

  • * White asterisk: expanded format.

  • * Blue asterisk: not mine.

  • No asterisk: it probably sucks.

Scoop's notes on the film:

One of my favorite films, it was nominated for the Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay Oscars. Ebert gave it 4/4. Berardinelli picked it as his best film of that year. It used to be in the IMDb top 250, but sadly is no longer. This beautiful, gut-wrenching piece of film literature has been supplanted by various examples of fan-boy entertainment from recent years. Example? This is not on the list. Kick-Ass is. My notes are here.

Death Race 2000

This Roger Corman production from 1975 is a Sci-Fi cult classic that is campy and cool at the same time. It features a young David Carradine and an equally young Sylvester Stallone in a "so bad its good" classic.

In the future (2000), a deadly Transcontinental Road Race pits teams against one another, as they travel across America scoring points by offing innocent people. The most points wins, with babies, for example, scoring 70 points. At the same time, they battle forces that want to stop the race.
