Lusty Neighbors

Lusty Neighbors stars Cheryl Powell as the inhibited wife in a neighborly foursome.  Cheryl is obviously willing to explore her body on her own…

….but she and her husband are having trouble in bed.

The sexually liberated neighbor is played by Phyllis Stengel.

She strips down and shows off in front of Cheryl, which serves to awaken certain feelings.

Cheryl learns to open up with the on-hands help of Phyllis, as an orgy rages in the next room, and then Cheryl and Phyllis move out to the living room to join the orgy that include their husbands.

 

The orgy includes an uncredited actress of Dixie Donovan-esque features. Nice looking gal, without a scintilla of inhibitions.  Anyway, everyone is happy at the end.

Roll credits - or at least that is how the movie should have gone - but a rule of exploitation films in this era demands that any coupling among members of the same sex had to be punished severely.  So, the movie goes from liberating to downright sick in a matter of two minutes.  Not saying’ this is the Battleship Potemkin but Lusty Neighbors was doing okay for most of its length only to wind up just plain icky.  Why it was written and filmed this way is beyond my powers to comprehend.
