I've watched the sequel Fortress 2: Re-Entry but have never seen the original. So, finally gotten around to watching this Australian Classic, yes, made on the Gold Coast in the brand new (at the time) Movie World Studios and was Village Roadshow's first big crack at the American market, having tried with smaller efforts like The Delinquents and complete shit like Bloodmoon. Now Village Roadshow is big time Hollywood.

Anyway, the movie is pretty much exactly the same as the sequel except his wife is missing from the sequel (it seems Loryn Locklin left acting before the sequel was made, a shame). It's an OK movie with an alright cast of oddballs and some decent moments but it's nothing to get excited over.
