Tuna
Tuna's comments: A
typical Van Damme vehicle with a few new twists.
The film begins with Van Damme looking for his
best friend (an Indian) to give him a present of
a motorcycle and then commit suicide with a
mother of pearl handled .45. Somehow doesn't seem
like a Van Damme weapon. The town nearest his
friend has, of course, been overtaken by bad
guys, who beat Van Damme up, steal his
motorcycle, and piss him off. He swears revenge,
then does the usual Van Damme ass-kicking, but
also falls in love. Pat Morita is great in a
supporting role. This is not a bad film -- kept
me awake and everything. The exposure is provided
by a new name to me -- Nikki Bokal.

"The
Groove Tube", from Tuna
Tuna's comments: The Groove Tube (1974) is
actually a series of short vignettes, tied
together with the premise that a bunch of wild
apes have found a TV, and are randomly changing
channels. Highlights include the film debut of
Chevy Chase in a commercial parody and other
skits, and the commentary for the sexual
Olympics. One of the strangest is footage of the
Watergate hearing with scat singing as the audio.
The nudity is provided in three different
skits. First is Richmond Baier running through
the woods stripping while a hitchhiker chases
her. Ends up with full frontal, good rear views
and a surprise for the hitchhiker. Next is
Jennifer Welles stripping then dancing in bedroom
with Chevy Chase. Ends up with full frontal. And
the last is Mary Mendham participating in world
sex games, flashes of breasts, and pubic hair
complete with "blow-by-blow" commentary
from an announcer and a former winner doing
"color."
The transfer must have been done from used
video tape, and the tape was produced from a
dirty film, as there is no end of dust, lint, and
cutouts. It is also full of motion blur and much
of it is out of focus. Despite that, it is worth
seeing once. It is one of several films including
Kentucky Fried Movie and Can I Do It "Til I
Need Glasses that are a series of short
vignettes. Can I Do It 'Til I Need Glasses
included an unknown comedian named Robin Williams
in his first film appearance. To my knowledge,
they haven't made one of these in years, and they
are entertaining for those nights when you don't
want to think.
Yup, I haven't seen the
DVD, but I've seen the movie many times, and I
always enjoyed this format. Writer/director Ken
Shapiro showed great comedic promise with this
film, and he was also pretty funny acting in some
of the skits. I waited seven years for him to do
something else and that wait produced the
troubled "Modern Problems". So much for
that career. Where is he now?
I actually enjoy this
genre. Another funny example is "Amazon
Women on the Moon"

The
rassle-babe, Major Gunns, from Pic Hound This site has
some film clips which are supposed to be home
movies of the Aussie soap star, Kate Richie. I
don't know of her, so they don't mean much to me,
and I don't know if they are absolutely known to
be Kate, but they are hard-core action and not at
all bad quality, so if you know her it will be a
real treat. (You are going to an Adultcheck site
- he didn't send me the videos.)
In addition to the pictures that go with these
daily member's bonuses every day, the
