"The Godfather" (1972)

The Godfather (1972), 9.0/10 at IMDB, making it the number 1 film of all time, is going to be released as part of a set of the entire trilogy this August 9. Won Best Actor (Brando), Best Picture, and Best Adaptation, and was nominated for 6 other Oscars. Maltin gives 3 1/2 stars, and everyone else says 4 stars. The only exposure is by Simonetta Stefanelli, Italian bride to Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) who dies in a car bombing that was meant for Michael. They are making me an offer I can't refuse, and I will order the set, which will include commentary from Copalla for all three, newly remastered Widescreen versions, and tons of extra features including extra scenes. Expect to pay about $80.00 for the boxed set. Also announced for this August are Disney's Snow White in a two CD special edition, and the long out of print Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (which goes for $65 or more on e-bay). Willie Wonka has been remastered for this release.

Is the Godfather that good? I would agree that it is an A, very well done, and of interest to nearly everyone, even if they hate the genre. I don't think I could chose a favorite film, as I like different films for different reasons, and my enjoyment of a film doesn't necessarily correlate to the quality of the film, but it is probably as good a choice for #1 as any of 30 or so great films.

  • Simonetta Stefanelli (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

    "15 Minutes" (2001)

15 Minutes (2001) follows 2 Days in the Valley as the second film written and directed by John Herzfeld. It is an action/thriller staring Robert De Niro as a famous New York Homicide detective and Edward Burns as a fire marshal. The two team up to solve a double murder, where a fire was used to try to hide the murder. The killers are a Czech and a Russian who have come to the US to recover some money. The Russian fancies himself a film maker, and buys a video camera. The Czech is nearly as crazy and cruel as the villain in 2 Days in the Valley, and has much more energy.

The killers come up with a brainstorm while watching TV. Kill a few more people, video tape it, sell the tape to the media to hire a high priced lawyer, plead insanity, and get rich off the movie and book rights. They kill Noelle Evans, who plays a call girl. She is shown in only a skimpy transparent pair of panties in a lengthy scene, then kill De Niro's character. They nearly get away with their scheme. The American obsession with violence and the news media's lack of ethics are the themes here, giving depth to what is a pretty good shoot em up already.

Major critics agree on three stars, and IMDB readers say 6.4/10. Made for $42m, US gross to date is only $24.375m. The lighting, art direction and photography have a much different look than 2 Days in the Valley, looking more like a European film. The DVD release is scheduled for August, and will hopefully be better than the foreign version I had to work with. I award C+.

Three new DVD's with no nudity, all three terrific movies. Cast Away, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and The Searchers. If you have never seen The Searchers, the movie review has some snapshots from this visually impressive movie.

The writer/director of  "100 Girls" and "8 Days a Week" wrote in to explain his distribution problems. His comments are at the bottom of the 100 Girls review

I'll write tomorrow about Angels Don't Sleep Here, but this sums it up (1) Kari Wuhrer as a geneticist, with no nude scenes (2) Evil Twins

More from Swordfish. New pics. same old review.

    Graphic Response
  • Susan Almgren topless in "Deadly Surveillance" (1991).

  • Suzanna Hamilton breasts and some bush in "Brimstone and Treacle" (1982). In these scenes, Sting feels her up a bit, then takes off all of her clothes.

  • Valeria Golino, brief breast exposure in "Immortal Beloved" (1994).

Be sure to pay Graphic Response a visit at his website. www.graphic-barry.com.

  • Uco
    Amy Lindsay
    (1, 2)

Scenes from "Secrets of a Chambermaid" (1998). Amy only shows her breasts but makes up for it with an aqua-sex scene in #1, and some mild lesbo lovin in #2.

    Anneliza Scott
    (1, 2)

Also in sex scenes from "Secrets of a Chambermaid". Her breasts are clearly visible, and #2 has a pretty good frame of Anneliza feeling herself up.

Bérénice Bejo Rear nudity plus side breast views in the French movie "Meilleur espoir féminin" (2000).

    Heidi Schanz
    (1, 2)

Boobs and bum in "Body Language".

    Kate Winslet
    (1, 2)

Familiar, and always welcome nudity from "Jude". #1 is full frontal, #2 is topless only.

Rachel Griffiths Also topless in "Jude".

Kira Reed Showing off all 3 B's in "Secrets of a Chambermaid".

Mimi Parker Working the brass pole in topless scenes from "Body Language".

    Palrune
    Angelina Jolie
    (1, 2, 3)

For fans of sci-fi, and Jolie, the movie "Hackers" is a classic. Of course we have scenes of her brief breast exposure, plus #3 is a fantastic see-thru!

    Cindy Crawford
    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

Speaking of classics...How about Cindy in her major motion picture debut! Here she is topless in a love scene with a Baldwin from "Fair Game" (1995). I know the lighting stinks, but that is pretty much par for this flick. The only thing of any value in this movie was Cindy giving up the goods, and they couldn't even get that right!

Some trivia: For the director Andrew Sipes, "Fair Game" is his one and only credit in the IMDb. I guess that happens when you direct a bomb of this magnitude. For fun, check out the IMDb's list of goofs for this movie. It's one of the longest I've seen.

    Charlize Theron

A nice topless image from "The Yards" (2000).

    Maria Checa
    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
    8, 9)

The former bunnyperson showing some excellent skin in scenes from the straight-to video sequel, "From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money" (1999).

    Here's a breakdown:

  • Link #1, a nice collage with breast and bum views.
  • Link #2 and #3, fantastic rear views. #3 is especially nice.
  • Links #4-9 Maria in the shower. Various camera angles with breast exposure.

  • Penman
    Barbara Alyn Woods
    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

Working the pole and stripping with a big snake around her neck in 'caps from the Demi Moore movie "Striptease".

    Rena Riffel
    (1, 2, 3)

Also looking great as a stripper in "Striptease". Sorry, no snake for her.

    Adrienne Barbeau Tara Buckman

    Farrah Fawcett
    (1, 2)

Here's a comment I don't get to type very often: Here are some excellent vidcaps from "Cannonball Run"!

My guess is Hal Needham raided the the costume department responsible for Erin Gray's "Buck Rogers" outfits. Naturally, Barbeau fills them out a bit more with some very nice cleavage. Farrah adds some great pokies.

    DeVo
Amina Annabi The exotic and busty actress topless in scenes from "The Hour of the Pig", aka "The Advocate" (1993).

Anna Galiena Feeling herself up a bit in these scenes from "Jamón, jamón" (1992).

Barbara Niven Nice cleavage as she portrays Marilyn Monroe in "The Rat Pack". An terrific movie that is a must see for anyone even remotely interested in Frank, Dean, and Sammy. Don Cheadle's portrayal of Sammy Davis Jr. is outstanding.

Giuditta Del Vecchio Full frontal nudity in "Jours tranquilles à Clichy" (1990).
