    "Attraction" (2000)

Attraction (2000), a direct to DVD due for release next Tuesday, is a waste of the 13 cents worth of plastic it is pressed on. Writer/first time director Russell DeGrazier may have made two films in one -- his first and his last. With anamorphic full screen to work with, he seems to prefer quick-cutting between one-shots to using the whole frame and two-shots. In the one sex scene featuring Samantha Mathis, he can't even keep them in frame. One mystery is how he talked Gretchen Mol into doing this film. She showed nothing, either exposure or acting, but then she had a very lame role in an equally lame script. Matthew Settle plays the male lead, and gratuitously waves his Willie at us after a shot of his buns.

The film is supposed to be about dating and obsession. Settle is a dating advice columnist and talk show host who is unable to heal himself. He has broken up with Mol, and is stalking her. In a final attempt to make her jealous and win her back, he seduces her friend Mathis, but soon finds that he and Mathis have a shot at intimacy. His radio boss is pursuing Mol, and midway through the film, Mol and the boss become the stalkers. Mathis plays an actress, and to up the breast count, she is in a play where she is nude the entire second act. Then director DeGrazier had the bright idea to light it with a strobe. The music is just plain bad, and is played at the threshold of pain. Based on this description, Attraction is brought to you by the letter F, and the numbers 0/10.

    "Barry Lyndon" (1975)

Next Tuesday, they are releasing a new boxed set of Stanley Kubric's best-known films, all of them remastered. Since I already own most of his films, I only ordered Barry Lyndon to complete my collection. If the quality of the entire set is as good as this film, I may have to order the entire collection.

Barry Lyndon is based on the novel by William Thakery, and chronicles the life of a middle class Irishman in the mid-1700s. Sometimes soldier, sometimes gambler, married to a real landed Lady, then losing everything, it is a mostly interesting life, but it is neither the plot nor the pace that make this film great. Kubric refused to use light that wouldn't have been available during the period. Many interiors are lit by thousands of candles, and the visuals are among the best in film. Ryan O'Neil did justice to the title role, and Marisa Berenson looked every bit the lady in the part of his wife, Lady Lyndon. She is seen in a bath. Her nipples are covered by a bathing gown, but you can see her pubic hair in the bath water. Despite the lack of exposure, it is a very erotic scene. There is also topless nudity from two tarts that Barry Lyndon amuses himself with.

Maltin says 3 1/2. IMDB readers give it 7.7/10.

It won Oscars for Set Decoration, Costume, Music and cinematography, and was nominated for best picture, best director, and best screenplay adapted from another work. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest won the majority of the Oscars that year. Although it is not a fast watch at 184 minutes, I will probably watch it again and again. B.

It's a good thing this is a team effort, because I've been barely able to get out of bed the last 36 hours. I did get to see Halle Berry's topless scene in Swordfish, and I'll try to get some pictures to you in tomorrow's edition, if the quality warrants it. In the meantime, here's the Swordfish overview. Big, loud, movie, not popular with the critics but I liked a lot of it in a summer fireworks kind of way, kinda comparable to MI2.

  • Maruschka Detmers frontal nudity with plenty of Euro-Disco bush from "Prénom Carmen" (1984).

  • Virginie Ledoyen as a blonde in scenes from "Héroïnes" (1997). Topless, plus hints of pubes and bum cleavage.

    "Julia and Julia"

Kathleen Turner stars in the movie Julia and Julia, a story of a woman who has a couple of lovers. Unfortunately, the nudity is a bit dark and you don't get the best possible views of her very prominent nipples.

  • Kathleen Turner (1, 2)

    "Good Luck"

You see Diedre Kilgore's sole contribution in Good Luck. She plays a groupie and flashes her tits as her hero walks by. The caps of Maria O'Brien are not really worth downloading. I mainly included them because it shows the after picture.

  • Diedre Kilgore
  • Maria O'Brien

    "The Adventures of Barry McKenzie"

These caps of Maria O'Brien are taking from a movie made 25 years earlier, "The Adventures of Barry McKenzie". This is one of the definitive Australian movies of the early 1970s and included such well known Australians as Barry Humphries (of Dame Edna Everage fame). It is also famous for its use of the Australian idiom. Maria O'Brien is a 'pommy sheila' who beds the hero Barry McKenzie.

    "Body Melt"

Body Melt is an Australian movie about drugs in the body building scene, drugs that have a habit of killing the user. Regina Gaigalas is one of the baddies pushing the drugs. There is also a quick flash by Parthena who is about to have sex with a body builder who ends up dying on the job.

  • Regina Gaigalas
  • Parthena

    "Dead Sleep"

Continuing the Australian movie them, Dead Sleep is based on a true story. It tells the controversial story of a doctor who puts psychiatric patients into a deep sleep in order to cure them. Peta Downes is a patient who displays some large breasts and the other collage shows topless patients who are being woken up prematurely.

  • Peta Downes
  • Topless Patients

    "Dags"

The final Australian movie is Dags. A dag is bit of dried manure hanging from the rear end of a sheep or an Australian word that means an idiot. The latter meaning is used in this movie. Sheena Crouch does get her top off and also forgets to dress properly after a quickie in a dunny.

  • Sheena Crouch

    "Under Siege II"

No nudity by Brenda Bakke in these caps, just some nice pictures. She is killed shortly after this scene.

  • Brenda Bakke

    "Shelter"

You see a lot more of Brenda Bakke in Shelter. Can't remember anything about the movie but I notice that it has the obligatory stripper.

  • Brenda Bakke (1, 2)
  • Stripper

As I continue my HD clean up, I can't remember anything about the following actresses either, but they're all topless.

  • Maria Lennon in "Crossmaheart"
  • Kitty Winn in "The Panic in Needle Park".

    "Testamento" has two actresses:

  • Veluma D'Oba (1, 2)
  • Karla Leal

In "Isle of Darkness" you see an unknown actress and Sofie Gråbøl (1, 2) going topless.

  • Schmutzfink
    This week's theme...Austrians

Elisabeth Lanz Topless in scenes from "Samt und Seide" (1999).

Elisabeth Romano Bare bum, and far off side breast exposure from "Fever".

Sonja Kirchberger Topless in a shower scene from "Die Liebende". For fans of the hair style known as "the mullet", you may recognize the version of the mullet sported by the dude in these 'caps as "the Skullet" (bald on top, long in back).

    Assorted topless babes
    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

More great 'caps of gratuitous nudity by Palrune from "Road Trip"

  • Amy Smart. #1 is a collage, the others are very nice single frames.
  • The Assorted babes are from the shower scene and link #5 is Tom Green with his ladies.

  • Anna Falchi
    (1, 2)

    Anna edited
    (1, 2)

Anna shows her breasts a couple of times in sex scenes from the movie "Dellamorte Dellamore" aka "Cemetery Man". A dark comedy/zombie movie. An odd film to say the least, but I enjoyed it. Although at times, the pace is slow enough that you feel you may end up a zombie before the movie ends. Anna looks great, but the scenes are dark. As I recall, this puppy isn't exactly a technical marvel either. In fact a Sony Digital 8 could probably make a better looking film. But who cares since Anna gives up the goods.

The first two are as DeVo made em. I adjusted them a tad for the second batch to bring out the nudity.

Dina Meyer Topless collage of Dina in "Starship Troopers", by Pro.

Elke Sommer Topless in 'caps from "Einer von uns beiden" (1973), by UC99.
    Krystyna Janda
    (1, 2)

Also by UC99, very nice topless nudity by the Polish actress in scenes from "Bella Donna" (1983).

  • Kirsten Dunst nude scene! Well, sorta...

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Kirsten Dunst felt a little shy about doing a nude scene in the upcoming movie "crazy/beautiful." Playing a girl from a wealthy family, the 19-year-old actor was to walk naked through the house to get a condom, then have a sex scene with a poor Hispanic schoolmate, played by Jay Hernandez.

"Kirsten felt a little uncomfortable about too much attention on the nudity in her first sexual movie," director John Stockwell told USA Today in Friday's editions.

Stockwell cut the walk through the house and made sure that only Dunst's skin is visible but nothing graphic. He showed her all the footage in a monitor during the shoot and allowed her and her mother, Inez, to watch the editing of the scene to make sure Dunst approved.

"It was a strange experience," Stockwell said. "I think her mom was a bit taken aback."

Much of the scene was cut anyway to make sure the Disney film has a PG-13 rating instead of an R rating when it opens June 29. Stockwell had to trim the two-minute scene in half.

  • Robo-Hooters on Ice!

    -Neil Travis, New York Post

While I know that Mayor Rudy has a lot on his plate right now, I do wish he'd find the time to draft a special ordinance specifically banning a topless Tonya Harding from appearing inside the city limits. Just this once, I'm on the side of "decency."

I hear that Harding, the former Olympic skater who gives trailer parks a bad name, has had her breasts surgically enhanced and is now looking to cash in on her new front porch.

A couple of the city's "gentlemen's clubs" report getting overtures from Harding's agent about her doing guest appearances. They have declined, which shows that even in the demi-world of what we innocently used to call burlesque, there are still some standards.

Not so in Las Vegas. The gambling mecca's Sun news-paper reports that Tonya's latest scheme is to star in a topless version of the Ice Capades at a major casino. (Don't jeer - this is the place that keeps Wayne Newton and Siegfried & Roy in spangles.) The paper says she wants to make Vegas her base and that her handlers have put together a serious proposal for a production featuring Harding showing off her enlarged superstructure. (They could call it "Boobs on Ice," I suppose.)

But this is America, where good taste shouldn't prevent anyone from making a buck. What Tonya really should do is get in touch with her knee-capped rival, Nancy Kerrigan, and stage a series of smackdowns for Vince McMahon's wrestling circus. Would that be boffo box office, or what?
