HD
- "Little Miss Sunshine tells the story of
the Hoovers, one of the most endearingly
fractured families ever seen on motion
picture screens. Together, the motley
six-member family treks from Albuquerque to
the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in Redondo
Beach, California, to fulfill the deepest
wish of 7-year-old Olive, an ordinary little
girl with big dreams. Along the way the
family must deal with crushed dreams,
heartbreak, and a broken-down VW bus,
leading up to the surreal Little Miss

travels through this bizarrely funny
landscape, the Hoovers learn to trust and
support each other along the path of life,
no matter what the challenge."

"The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things"
The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things (2004) was written by Asia Argento, who also starred, and was based on a supposedly autobiographical set of short stories written by J. T. LeRoy. After Argento completed the film, it came out that J. T. LeRoy not only wasn't a horribly abused son of a junkie hooker, but was in fact a woman. A friend played the J. T. LeRoy character in public, and the ruse worked for a very long time. Many people comment that knowing the books were a fake doesn't make the film any worse. I would agree with that statement. I don't see how the film could possibly be an worse.
I will give Argento credit for a brave and believable performance. Every time she was on the screen, I had an urge to take a shower. Hightlights in clude one of Argento's "husbands" sodomizing the boy to the point that he needed stitches to repair his rectum, another "daddy" beating him to with a belt because he wet the bed, his mother poisoning him, and, probably the best scene of all with his grandfather, Played by Peter Fonda. The grandparents are religious zealots, and the morning regime includes Grandfather scrubbing his genitals with a stiff bristle brush. The people who responded to this story did so because he was supposedly taken from loving foster parents and returned to his birth mother, which was the start of all the abuse.
Asia Argento shows buns and her right breast in a stripping scene where she is arrested, and is naked about a mile from the camera at the end of the film.
IMDb readers say 6.2. The votes vary inversely with the age of the voter, By the time you get to my age bracket (six years older than God), it only rates 4.5. It earned a whopping $26.1 K at US film festivals. Ebert was unimpressed at 2 stars. I found it competently made, but completely repulsive from opening title sequence to final credits. This is a D.

The Brits have given us so much. English Common Law, for example. The Magna Carta. And then there is that language most of us pretend to speak. But none of that comes close to the gals of Page Thrice and others who pose more provocatively. Modern incarnations include Michelle March and Keeley Hazell. Marvelous looking women. A whole bunch of em used to show up on the telly in some show called Electric Blue. I loved that show because the gals would get their kits off whilst some other lass holding a camera in a way that indicated she'd never seen such a strange device would pretend to take pictures of her. The photographer gal would also strip down. A twofer. The show faded away but thanks to the miracle of DVD we can see it all again.
That brings me to Electric Blue: Sex Model Files #2. Lots of women on the disk. Too many to send in at one time. So I am starting with my own favorite, Carla Fernandez. Cute face, gorgeous smile, recreational body and the inhibitions of a mink in heat. The woman of my dreams. So here she is in more than twenty collages and a half-dozen clips. More women to follow, so stay tuned.
