Leonora is a 1985 erotic romance drama where Leonora (Mandi Miller) is stuck in a dead-end marriage to sleazy car dealership owner Simon (David Evans from Coming Of Age) and reluctantly accepts that he cheats on her rampantly. But she still wants to be involved in his life and he even allows her in his latest commercial, alongside a couple of models he would later have his way with. Leonora catches the eye of video director Mark (Leon Marvell) just in time for Simon to suggest that they should have an open marriage. After some romantic tension between the two, things come to the boil during an out-of-control party where Simon suggests they should have sex, which they do. Then they fall for one another, so much so that Simon decides to end the open marriage but Mark is not having it. One day Mark comes to 'claim' her but during a struggle with Simon, Leonora says that she wants to stay with Simon. Mark isn't giving up and friend Dogon (Ron Becks) tells him to go to his lover Helena (Angela Menzies-Wills), a psychic witch who helps Mark 'change' Leonora's mind with sex-fuelled spells. But it's not working quick enough and one night, Simon and his friends drunkenly attempt to rape Leonora, so Mark gets Helena to quicken up the spell which works but has an unexpected side-effect which could keep Mark and Leonora apart. Absolutely rubbish sex drama that turns into ridiculous melodrama by the end including one baffling scene where after being told that Leonora is about to be raped, Mark goes to Helena instead of doing anything to stop it. It's all very tawdry and neither Simon or Mark are deserving of Leonora who is also somewhat annoying. The ending is very silly and is stopped in an even stupider way. Apart from the sex and nudity, there's no other reason to watch this but at least it doesn't have the psychobabble of Fantasy.

Come and Get It is a 1989 is comedy thriller where Doc (Ron Becks) is an American veteran who's friend, 'nightclub' owner John is killed in Australia by rival Pirate (David Evans) who wants all the clubs in Kings Cross. Doc is bequeathed John's nightclub including all the girls that work there but he is wildly out-of-his-depth although he has someone helpful in Kit (Amanda Hiles) around but she has her own eye on running the club. She and the other girls also want revenge for John's death and Pirate is a lingering threat so Doc and the girls have to stop Pirate and his goons from violently taking over the club. And then John turns up very much alive... Mildly amusing movie that's goes off on weird tangents frequently, no more so when John miraculously returns after we see him riddled with bullets. The final twist about John is absolutely bizarre but it certainly explains why he looks like a reject from White Girls. The movie, written and directed by Becks, is not all that good and at times barely comprehensible but at least it's far more watchable than Leonora and Fantasy.

Both movies are lost to time so they're only available from VHS and it's highly doubtful they'll become available in any better quality. The quality of the copies I have are not all that great, watchable but could be better. Fantasy seems to have been filmed in soft focus so it's fairly cloudy at times while Come and Get It is a bit dark but slightly better.

Most of the actresses featured below are pretty unknown, quite a lot only in one movie. Angela Menzies-Wills has featured a few times on the site, recently in Coming Of Age where she's the lead and is frequently naked but also had brief roles in Felicity and Nightmares. I must get around to capping Fantasm Comes Again (also Fantasm) which she features in. Tanya Ross briefly appears in Come and Get It and her only other credit is featuring in a brief scene in the shitty 1990 magical thriller Sher Mountains Killings Mystery, playing a nude model.
