I thought of Oscar Wilde as I began to work on Sex in Philippine Cinema 2 because of what he said about second marriages, that they were the triumph of hope over experience.  And since my experience with SPC 1 had been so awfully disappointing, my fondest hope for part 2 was that it would not blow chunks.  It did not… for a while. 

On the positive side of life, SPC 2 has 11 lovely women in various sorts of scenes that someone might call sex. 

Next up: Maui Taylor and Katya Santos, who play the two much more interesting parts of a threesome in Sex Drive (2003).  Story goes that a guy is frolicking in bed with Maui as her roommate, Katya, attempts to sleep in the next room.  She finally gives up and moves on over to the duo’s bed so that he wakes up with Katya a-smoochin’ on him.  His response is the logical one, in the quintessential male fantasy.
