Happy Hell Night
1992
Johnny's comments:
Happy Hell Night, a Canadian B horror slasher that is
partly filmed in the old Yugoslavia (for whatever
reason), but most of the movie seems to be set in some
fictional American college town. Then all of a sudden
a bunch of Eastern European hotties turn up to show a
bit of skin. Baffling, but not as baffling as a very
young Jorja Fox turning up for an uncredited role in
the movie that has all the hallmarks of been added in
later, It would certainly explain why she's
uncredited. Not that she was that famous at the time,
just that others are credited including Sam Rockwell
who turns up to do some brief mugging and is in the
movie for less time than even Jorja's small role. Even
funnier is that I saw a cover for the movie and she
and "blink and miss" Sam Rockwell are both listed
boldly, while the actual stars are not
mentioned.
Happy Hell Night isn't a great movie or even a good
one, and some of the acting is very dicey, but it does
have a few surprising laughs and a slapstick killer
who's a bit of fun.
