"Story of O: Episode 4"

"Story of O - Episode 4" (1992 TV) continues the story, still following the original plot nearly point by point. Rene meets Jacqueline and is impressed, and O meets Sir Stephen for the first time, where Rene tells her that she is to be the property of both of them. She refuses Sir Stephen's request that she masturbate for him. He demands that she obey him, even though neither loves the other. She resolves to get him to care about her.

We have a new unknown, who plays a lesbian lover from O's remembered youth, and the by now familiar breasts, buns and full frontal from Claudia Cepeda.

    "Stille Nach Dem Schuss"

    Stille Nach Dem Schuss (1999) was done by scoopy and reviewed, using the English name, "The Legend of Rita". If the subject interests you, the commentary is full of background as to where the various elements of the film are from. While the characters are fictitious, the events all happened to real terrorists.

    As a quick recap of the story, young terrorists, inspired by early 70's Berkeley, where playing Robin Hood, robbing from the rich (like banks) and giving to the poor. To their socialist way of thinking, this redistribution of wealth was in the best interest of mankind. The fun went out of the game when they broke a friend out of jail, and ended up killing someone in the process. They escaped to East Berlin and the secret police, who had offered help. Most of the group chose to go to Beirut, to continue their campaign, but two young women went into a sort of witness protection program. The film is more a description of the times, the changing tide of politics, etc. Scoop, as a paid professional capitalist, covered that aspect in the review linked above. Nadja Uhl plays a close girlfriend of the main character, and is in a very clingy flannel nightshirt that doesn't stand a chance against her nipples. Bibiana Biglau shows a breast in a partly open shirt, breasts in two sex scenes, and buns stripping on the beach at night to meet her lover.

    As Scoop said, this is an interesting, and highly intelligent film, where the ideas and ideologies are more important than the characters, so is not for everyone. It doesn't fail completely as entertainment, however, with action at the beginning, a lesbian relationship, and a hetero relationship. The German sub-titles can't be turned off. C+.

    Original Angels To Cameo In #2
    Charlie's Angels 2 is set to enjoy a blast from the past - when the original TV Charlie's Angels make cameos on the movie sequel. Drew Barrymore, who will re-team with Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu for the flick, has joined forces with director McG - AKA Joseph McGinty Nichol - to get the original TV angels Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith for appearances. Barrymore says, "There are definitely some surprises on that level. Apparently Farrah met with McG and loved the movie, which made us feel very good."


    Next, bad news for the King of the Funhouse: he has to give up his castle or else the Queen will be sleeping elsewhere. Charlie should try a compromise and just offer to buy some clean sheets...

    Denise: I'll Never Live In Sheen's Bachelor Pad
    Gorgeous Bond babe Denise Richards refused to move into boyfriend Charlie Sheen's home because he'd entertained too many call-girls there. According to Britain's Daily Sport newspaper, the actress was furious when Sheen suggested the move into his huge estate in Malibu, California. Former hellraiser Sheen spent a fortune on call-girls when he was a hard-living, hard partying single. One pal says, "Denise's jaw dropped and she went mad, screaming she'd never move into the 'hooker haven'! She told him, 'That house was your bachelor pad. Nothing could ever make me live there -ever.'" Sheen clearly didn't want to upset his bride-to-be - he and Richards have now bought a plush house in fashionable Westwood, California.


    Finally, for the movie buffs. You know you've pushed the stylized special effects too far when the guy who made "The Aventures of Baron Munchhausen" starts complaining about it...

    Gilliam Slams Modern Movie Makers
    Veteran Hollywood director Terry Gilliam has laid into the modern cult of making movies which are all style and no content. The former Monty Python man and Time Bandits and Twelve Monkeys movie-maker says the industry needs to focus more on ideas and less on cute camera angles. He says, "The guys who are shooting films now are technically brilliant. But there's no content in their films. I marvel at what I see and say: 'God, I wish I could have done a shot like that.' But the shots are secondary for my films, and with some of these films, it's all about the shots. I watched Tomb Raider last night. Technically, it's brilliant, but it's just crap! Every shot is beautifully composed, the lighting is great, the sets are great. But what's the point? I'm not sure people know what points to make. I'm not sure how in touch with reality anybody is, everybody's too busy phoning each other."
