90s update ... and over to Hong Kong for Ebola Syndrome, an absolutely crazy play on The Untold Story from the same makers and star. The first half of the movie is basically a rehash of The Untold Story right down to the butchering of people and turning them into food to serve at a restaurant. Anyway, Anthony Wong kills his boss and the boss's wife he was fucking plus another guy and almost kills their daughter until he is found out and goes on the run to South Africa. 10 years later and he get Ebola after raping a Zulu tribeswoman who's dying and then kills his boss and boss's wife, finds their money, is cured of Ebola and then goes to Taiwan to live it up where it turns out that he is an absolute super-spreader and the second half of the movie is just Anthony Wong spreading Ebola all over Taiwan then Hong Kong while the girl who was lucky to get away in the beginning has grown up and just happens to run into her would-be killer and can spot him by his spell and it's up to her to help find Wong before he destroys Hong Kong.

Absolutely ridiculous stuff but I found myself enjoying this way more than The Untold Story, particularly when Anthony Wong becomes a super-spreader and everything turns insane. A particularly jarring movie to watch during a pandemic, but probably the best time to watch such craziness too.
