The grindhouse offering is about as hard a softcore movie as you will see from a time when hardcore stuff was still illegal in most of the country.  Hedonist Hypnotist tells the story of a guy - the hypnotist - you puts uses his skills to convince women of the need to shed their clothing and, in a couple of cases, to boff his friends (who, you will see, do the deed without removing undergarments, thank you very much).  

Three mainstays of the grindhouse era - Casey Lorraine (aka Casey Larrain), Cathy Adams and the wonderfully built Neola Graef - and a couple of unknown actresses spend many minutes of screen time as naked as the days they were born.  Neola is in one scene alone and exposes more than she did in many other movies of that time. 

Casey, Cathy and one unknown actress frolic together in another, very long scene of full-frontal hijinks, including some light girl on girl action.  I wish I knew who this unknown actress is because she looks familiar but nothing online gives us her name.

The second unknown actress, who resembles Joey Heatherton (in face only), has a solo performance in which the camera man got confused and though the title of the movie was Gynecologist Hypnotist.  Seriously, my fellow readers, the caps are from the LEAST explicit part of the scene. 

There is no dialog to this movie, which leaves a narrator to explain what the F is going on.  As he does this, he spends some time warning his viewers of the dangers our women face in a world where hypnotists run free and most states have no laws to make their nefarious behavior illegal.  I think the producers threw in this crap because the Supreme Court at the time said pornography could be prosecuted if it was utterly without redeeming social value.... so here is a public service announcement to make it all nice and legal-like.

Another François Ozon movie, the 50-minute 1997 movie Regarde Le Mer (See The Sea, I think the English title works better here) where early Ozon favourite Marina de Van invades the life of lonely English woman Sasha Hails. Was an early 2000s favourite on SBS and I probably saw it every time it aired (because of course I did) but I hadn't seen it since until it randomly turned up in the first week of SBS World Movies a couple of years ago. I recorded it and have just now gotten around to capping it. I think its only aired once since and at an hour with ads, it's probably a time filler.

It's in HD but the quality is not so good and clearly upscaled, probably the same copy they ran 20-odd years ago with no HD. But it's fine although I had a minor issue which I was able to minimise.
