"The Long Run"
The Long Run (2000) is a South African film that had a limited US release, and didn't do well enough to move to more markets. It is a familiar sports formula story. A German born running coach is obsessed with the Comrades Marathon. His company has allowed him to train young athletes as part of his job, but when he is given early retirement so they can hire a black executive, he is out of both a job and a passion. Along comes Christine, who is an illegal immigrant with incredible natural running ability, but no formal training and no race experience. She becomes his life. Eventually, we find out why he is obsessed with this race. We also learn that Christine is her own woman. While the plot is familiar, colorful African landscapes and picturesque cities coupled with first-rate photography elevate the film above the genre. The film focuses more on the characters than the race, which also makes the story more interesting. South African star Nthati Moshesh as Christina has wonderful presence, and creates a very believable character.
Little is available on the net about this film. Christina is naked swimming in a water tank, She stays under water, but you get various views of her breasts and buns, and possibly a hint of bush. Take away any of the positive elements, and this would be just another sports story, but with the production value, character development, and performances, it is an easy watch. B-.

"The Monkey's Mask"
The Monkey's Mask (2000) is a joint Welsh and New Zealand production, and is a lesbian love story combined with a mystery. Susie Porter, private eye, is hired to find a missing person, a young poetry student. Her parents know her as practically a virgin, and Porter discovers she was anything but. The girl turns up strangled, and the parents hire her to find the killer. When Porter questions her poetry professor, Kelly McGillis, she learns little, but falls instantly in lust. The two women become friends, then lovers, with the approval of McGillis's husband.
The murder mystery is third rate, but the sex between Porter and McGillis alone makes it worth the rental. There are several sex scenes featuring breasts and buns from both women, and Porter shows full frontal more than once. Two women also show breasts during a sex stage show. They are identified as Cassandra McGann and Amanda Herbert, but I have no idea which is which. McGillis played a rather self-serving, hedonistic character, and was not especially likable. Porter, on the other hand, was wonderful as a butch private eye, tough, but vulnerable on the inside. For mystery thriller fans, you will fast forward to the nudity, and not find much else of interest. For character driven drama fans, there is more to offer.
IMDB readers have it at 6.0 of 10, with women 33 to 44 the highest voting group. There is enough nudity and sex that some might consider it a soft-core. I have always thought the scene in Witness where McGillis washes and Harrison ford watches her through a crack in the door was one of the most erotic moments in film. The sex in this film is as erotic, but for a different reason. Both women make it feel like honest lust and pleasure. With the substantial nudity, and due to the fact that it is something of a chick flick, you may or may not want to rent it when it arrives on Region 1 DVD. No US release has been announced as yet. The German release is an excellent Widescreen transfer.

Several artists have done a right good job of capping the Citizen Kane of time-travel-ol'-southwest-prostitute-nekkid-B-movie-bimbo movies, Timegate: Tales of the Saddle Tramps (if you add enough adjectives, and thereby limit the available entries, every movie becomes the Citizen Kane of something). And I was gonna leave it at that, until Tuna sent me a couple hundred frames from the flic. So why not? I sez to myself, and I've spent a little while editing and piecing together the first 50 or so. They represent the best and the not-so-best of this movie: Shannon Malone and Amber Newman.
Shannon reminds of the women that each of us has tried to pick up at a bar and a party after we've gotten enough alcohol into us to make us think we had any more than a snowball's chance in hell (or Tulsa, Oklahoma.... same difference) with her. And we all got shot down. In flames. Admit it. So
here is that every-babe all nekkid. She shows breasts in every one of these, but absolutely no sign of a bum anywhere and only a couple of peeks at her bush in collage #4.

The Shannon scene has her sport-humpin' a guy wearing a fur coat along with Amber Newman, who is the not-so-best part of this movie. It's greedy, I know, to piss and moan about a babe who is more than passable in the looks department and who does the nekkid thing. And in the real world I wouldn't. But this is Holly-world, where all nekkid babes are so far above average that a merely above-average one just doesn't do it for us, right guys? Anyway, here they are, Shannon and Amber paying attention to the guy and to one another.
The closest attention the two babes pay to one another is in the second collage (and the only hint of bum in these is of Amber's in the first collage) but there is no more contact between them than between the babes in American Pie 2.

Finally couple of collages are of Amber alone, the first one from the side as she does the ride-'em-cowgirl sport-humpin thing (she is, after all is said and done, a saddletramp). Ever notice that guys in these movies are built... uh, strangely? Like, with dongs half-way down their thighs? Or at least that's what you gotta conclude cuz that's where the girls are riding them.
So, away from the Old West to the New West. The Blue Iguana, to be specific. Yah sure, you've seen Darryl Hannah on the pole so often now the image is burned into your retina. But Tuna's caps were so good, I just had to muck around with them. I am particularly fond of the third image, as it is a single frame of Daryl's criminally-beautiful-for-a-forty-year-old bum. Read the news about her recommendation of a brass pole for staying in shape. Printed out that puppy. Left it around the house for the Mrs. to see. No sign yet that she got the hint.

Okay, and since I'm stuck in the mold of sending in things we've all seen before allow me to offer Katie Holmes, again, in The Gift. This time it is every possible frame from the on-the-ground part of her topless scene.
And shoot, why not send Lisa Arturo, since I've already mentioned American Pie 2? Why? Because she's a cutie with a killer caboose.
Let's break out of the mold and look at a few things Tuna's sent in before but have otherwise gone uncapped.
Katherine DeMoore in Novel Desires (it's about people who like reading James Joyce). First collage is of the pale beauty's robo-hooters, the second of her first-rate rumpus.
Kathleen Beller in The Sword and the Sorcerer. This involved some work for a change, because I glued together two frames in a slow pan, allowing us to see the side of the lovely Kathleen's bum and breast as she gets rubbed down in something gooey.
Kathleen Quinlan in I Never Promised You a Rose Garden. Ms. Quinlan was tiny in her youth but by the time she played the reporter in The Doors or Mrs. Jim Lovell in Apollo 13, she had magically grown a sizable pair.
Lindsay Duncan full frontal in Traffik. Uh, Ms. Duncan, the gym is in the other direction.
Lisa Grant in Trader Hornee, a prequel to Breaker Morant. Or maybe not. This is a breasts only role for the red-head.
Maggie Fitzgerald in The Satanic Rites of Dracula showing off only her mini-hooters.
Margaret Avery, same view as above only in this case in the movie, Hell Up in Harlem.
And finally, Maria Delver in Dangerous Attraction. Not a raving beauty but she has a pair of attractions worth viewing. Gotta say I do not like the title. First it was Fatal Attraction, now its Dangerous Attraction. Makes you think the only think worse than being attracted to someone is to have them attracted to you. Despite the nakkid babes, Hollywood remains puritanical.

A little "Hankster Lite" and "Babes in Bondage" both in the same film!
Juliette Lewis and Brigitte Bako in "Strange Days". Both get tied up although Juliette's scene is consensual. Poor Brigitte however, is killed. Juliette is really not my cup of tea, probably the small boobs, nice legs though.
