Nazi Cinema
  • No, we're not kidding. Actually, Nazis aren't very funny, especially to people of our ethnicity. This is actually quite fascinating, though. In the height of German National Socialism, there were still occasional movie nude scenes that were not deemed decadent by the censors of the Third Reich. This particular movie was one of the first color films made in Germany, "Das Bad auf der Tanne", and features some explicit and suggested nude scenes from an actress named Heli Finkenzeller. The Nazis didn't consider this to be "Entartete Kunst" (degenerate art), even though they did not hesitate to pin that label on the masterpieces of Marc Chagall and Renoir, for example. Well, there's no sense beating that dead horse. I guess you've probably figured out that Nazis were evil, and I don't suppose I'll get that many pro-Nazi responses. Anyway, here's Heli's buns.
