"Emerald Forest" (1985)

Emerald Forest (1985) was produced and directed by John Boorman (Deliverance, Excalibur, etc), and is easily my favorite of his films. Very loosely based on a true story, it is about an engineer who is sent to the Amazon to build a dam. He brings his wife, and young son and daughter with him. The son is taken by the chief of a primitive tribe, who raises him as his son. The engineer spends his free time for the entire 10 years he is building the dam searching for his lost son. When the two are re-united after 10 years, the engineer finds that Tomme, his son, played by Charley Boorman, son of John Boorman, is more than happy where he is, and has no interest in returning to "The Dead World" and his birth parents.

Boorman always manages stunning visuals, and here he couldn't miss. We have lush tropical rain forests with nearly naked ample breasted tight ripe-bottomed young Brazilian Indian women everywhere we look, and interesting tribal paint. The visuals alone would be enough to recommend this film, but the cultural messages, mainly the "modern" culture seen through the eyes of the primitive Indians are also powerful and well-presented. There is more than a little mysticism, plenty of action, and a pretty fair romance sub-plot as well.

In case you couldn't tell by now, I am a huge fan of this film, and have been waiting for Tuesday's DVD release for a long time. Ebert says three stars and IMDB readers give it 6.4/10. US gross was $24.467m. This was the debut film for the lovely Dira Paes (Boorman's wife in the film), who is still working, and has 15 credits at IMDB. The DVD transfer is very nice, if a little dark in the forest scenes. Unfortunately, not much in the way of special features.

I looked at Red Planet. At last, the kind of film I like to make fun of. Plenty of incorrect science, cheesy dialogue, and goofy mysticism. Bravissimo. I didn't have a good enough copy to improve on Orion's images, so here are his again. I'll get the whole deal and look at the deleted scenes when the DVD comes out March 27th.

I looked at Shadow of the Vampire. Cool movie, very strange. Catherine McCormack had a topless scene, but at no time in the entire movie are you able to identify her face as the familiar image of Catherine McCormack. Same big boobs, though. This will look cool on DVD, but is too dark to do much with off a bad copy.

    • Catherine McCormack (1, 2)

One more go-around with Jennifer Connelly in "Requiem for a Dream". I hated my collages and (as you can see from all these reviews of movies still playing) I had too much new material to spend time reworking any old stuff, so I asked some other people to help out. Here are the results.

One more go-around with Katie Holmes in "The Gift". New versions. High resolution. Original scans done by some guys named NicNac and Thespian with a slide scanner. Composite images assembled by me.

    • Katie Holmes (1, 2, 3, 4)

    Charlie's site is updated.

    Graphic Response
  • Goldie Hawn strolling across the screen in 1970's "There's a Girl in My Soup". Clear bum exposure, partial breast exposure, and I think if you look hard enough, possible a bit of pubes too.

    Survivor Babes!

Last night was Ladies night! This episode spent a lot of time with the women and served up many scenes with high readings on the pokie-meter. Plus Kimmi gave us a nice display of cleavage (only a minor example seen here). Thanks to RR Creations for the vidcaps.

A little something from Brainscan's Shoppe. Thanks to PETScans for these images of the actress, stripper, and men's magazine babe.

The imaging debut from Klingon...Two collages featuring some of the new images from her recent FHM appearance, plus some old favorites.

Caroline Salisbury Very nice see-thru exposure, but crappy source paper. Thanks to C2000.

Kiera Chaplin One more from C2000, but this time, it's a topless pose.

Laura Hollstein Don't worry folks, her name may resemble a breed of cattle, but that's where any similarities end. From Daysleeper, here is a very nice scan with some unusual see-thru nipple exposure.

Rachel Weisz A great find by Demon. Here is Rachel topless and in the tub in an uncredited role from the movie "The Advocates".

Kim Dickens Breast exposure from "Hollow Man", by Elliffen Grafix.

Rhona Mitra More nudity from "Hollow Man" by Elliffen.

Jessica Alba Looking magically cleav-licious in scenes from Wednesday night's episode of "Dark Angel".

Krista Allen A great scan by KZ of the new, non-nude, "Baywatch Hawaii" version. Ok, she's still hot, but I prefer the buck-nekkid "Emmanuelle in Space" version.

Nicole More shower scenes from the German "Big Brother 3". They sure are a clean bunch of contestants.

Alexandra Schalaudek From Germany...lots of topless expsoure from "Der Kuß meiner Schwester" by Slartibartfast.

Joely Richardson Full frontal nudity from "Lady Chatterley", the Ken Russell movie adaptation of three related D.H. Lawrence novels. Great 'caps by Watty.

Indira Varma Full frontal nudity from "Kama Sutra, A Tale of Love".
