Why, when I was a lad, you could go anywhere in town and pick up a sundry. They were beloved by all, from all walks of life and social strata. Al Capone was said to love a good sundry, as did Albert Schweitzer and Theolonius Monk. There was even an English word "sundryman" - a dealer in sundries. Today ... nothing. Not one fucking sundry to be had. A sorry state mankind has found itself in. In my never-ending campaign to restore the good name of sundries, here are a few miscellaneous small items. First, Brinke Stevens (nee Charlene Brinkeman), from the first tier of scream queens. Brinke is 44 now, but this recent nude of her still looks pretty doggoned good, indeed. It must take some kind of woman to take a man away from Claudia Schiffer. Georgia O'Keefe is better known for her paintings than for hanging around naked in public, but she was frequently photographed by her photographer husband, Alfred Stieglitz, and there are some nudes included in the 300 or so he published. If you're a long-term reader, you may remember, years ago, when I ran some caps of Ilona Utrainen, and was completely unable to unearth one reference to her anywhere (other than in the 'capped episode of a made-for-cable show). This first one is from limbo. You know you're getting desperate for new material when you're looking for nudity in "The Right Stuff", the PG-rated astronaut saga adapted from a Tom Wolfe book. Near the end of the movie, our Project Mercury heroes attend a big ol' Texas BBQ which features a performance by the famous stripper, Sally Rand. Here's a few frames of Peggy Davis as Sally Rand. I suppose she's wearing a body suit, and I don't have a clue who she is. The IMDb lists this as her only movie appearance. I think it's probably a better movie than Apollo 13 (which is a pretty good movie!), but the latter took all the awards and all the box office.
