"The Big Easy"

The Big Easy (1987) Stars Randy Quaid as a New Orleans PD detective, and Ellen Barkin as a deputy DA investigating police corruption. The film starts with the murder of a "wise guy," and Quaid is called upon to work with Barkin. As the apparent mod war escalates, Quaid romances Barkin, until he is caught by a sting operation accepting a contribution to the police "widows and orphans fund." Barkin prosecutes him, and he barely beats the rap. In case some of you haven't seen it, I will stop in mid plot.

Barkin shows a breast from the side, and most of her buns. The film itself is full of colorful New Orleans scenery and wonderful Cajun music, has a pretty fair police thriller, a love story, and nudity from Ellen Barkin. You can't ask for a whole lot more in an entertainment film. IMDB voters say 6.6 of 10, and Roger Ebert gives it a full four stars. Box office was $17.7m. I have to agree with Roger on this one -- the film is better than the IMDB 6.6. It has real passion, fascinating characters, music, humor and a good mystery. B-.

    "Cause Célèbre"

Cause Célèbre (1987 TV movie) is a BBC production of a real murder trial that took place in 1935. An older woman (played by Helen Mirren) and a much younger man are on trial for the brutal murder of her husband. The press sensationalized the case long before it came to trial, creating a huge public outcry against the wife. Men were afraid a younger man would seduce their wives, and women were jealous. Mirren's character at first confessed trying to save her young lover, then changed her mind because of her children.

Take a dry courtroom mystery, take away the mystery early on, then place it in a British courtroom, and you have a sure cure for insomnia. Mirren gave the kind of strong performance you can usually expect from her, and the rest of the cast did fine, but this was more like a doccu-drama than entertainment. Mirren did show her breasts, and most of her bum, in the films one sex scene. The true story was sensational in its time, it is too bad the film wasn't more so. C-.

    A note from Scoop:
According to The Bare Facts, we were missing this one nude scene of Helen. It's new to my eyes, and rare.

    MOVIES:

Used Cars (new to DVD) is a screwball comedy from 1980, and it is actually quite funny and creative. Although a minor release, it has some heavy breathers in the credits. Executive producers: Spielberg and Milius. Directed by Zemeckis. Starring Kurt Russell. I recommend it if you like screwball comedies. It's a funny movie, well restored, and includes a surprising amount of features on the DVD, including 20 year old never seen deleted footage with a former Penthouse Pet of the Year topless.

    • If there is no asterisk, I wrote it, but am too ashamed to admit it.

    Daily Dose of Britney
A few 'caps of Britney hosting Saturday Night Live. There's a bit of an upskirt in #1 and #3, plus #2 and #3 have her wearing leather pants and a tank top. Thanks to Deadlamb and DAI for the images.
    • Britney Spears (1, 2, 3)

    Scoop,

Today's "Babe in Bondage" is Barbara Crampton from "Re-Animator", truly a classic bondage scene from a mainstream movie. A change for me in that is a really good movie. Babs bares her breasts in each of these, plus links 2, 3 and 4 also show some pubes.

    • Barbara Crampton (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

Today's "Hankster Lite", is from the modern classic, "Showgirls". Not a great movie, but great toplessness by Dame Berkley.

    • Elizabeth Berkley (1, 2, 3, 4)
    Helvete
Helvete takes a slight detour from his usual Euro-nudity 'caps to bring us the goodies from the indie flick "Diary of a Sex Addict" (2001).
    • Rosanna Arquette, age 40 something and still doing nude scenes. In the words of the immortal 80's, one-trick pony comedian Yakov Smirnoff..."What a country".

    • Joey House, topless. She kinda reminds of a brunette and smaller breasted version of late night regular, Tane McClure. Or perhaps I just watch way too much Skinemax.

    • Speaking of Skinemax....here is the busty Shannan Leigh. These images are the same, but this scene is poorly lit, so I took the liberty of editing it slightly. #1 is the original, #2 is the edit.
      (1, 2)

    • Eva Jenickova, toplessness. (1, 2, 3)

    DeVo
    • Alina De Simone, rear nudity in scenes from "La Chiesa" (1988). Written and produced by Dario Argento.

Next...we set the way-back machine to 1973 as DeVo takes a look at the British horror/comedy "Horror Hospital". The movie is chock full of gratuitous nudity, zombie bikers, a dwarf butler, multiple beheadings, etc. You know, all of the reasons to go to the movies!

    • Barbara Wendy, topless.

    • Vanessa Shaw, topless in shower and love scenes. (1, 2)

    • Unknown showing full frontal and rear nudity.

We then jump forward about 20 years to the next film..."The Killing Machine" (1994). There's not much info about this one at the IMDb. One comment that says it's not bad for a straight-to B actioner, but only a 3.7 rating.

Gillian Anderson 'Caps and comments by Spaz"
I didn't want to mix this with yesterday's batch in case an X-Phile gets a heart attack....

    >From the very first X-Files pilot episode. This is how the X-Files television series started out in 1993: Gillian Anderson running around in her underwear while David Duchovny ogles her. The truth is out there indeed! Can anyone do these captures from the first season DVD set?

    Emilie Dequenne

Up close and personal 'caps of a very lovely, single breast as well as views from the panties-cam. Very nice images by Tmo from the French movie "Oui, mais" (2001).

    Pat Reeder The Comedy Wire
    Scoop,

Though you might find this interesting. From NY Post, Page Six...

AFTER 20 years of silence, one-time Hollywood golden boy Michael Cimino is finally speaking out about living in virtual seclusion, his ever-changing physical appearance, and those pesky transsexual rumors. Cimino, who directed the Oscar-winning "Deer Hunter," turned into Tinseltown's biggest pariah after his 1980 flop "Heaven's Gate," blamed for the collapse of United Artists studio. Since the flop, Cimino has rarely been seen in public and his appearance, like Michael Jackson's, has taken a dramatic turn to the unrecognizable.

Once pudgy with feathered dark hair and a prominent nose, Cimino now has "hair teased into a Rod Stewart shag," Steve Garbarino reports in Vanity Fair. "It is very blond. His eyebrows are groomed into arches. His nose looks petite. His lips are puffed up as are his cheekbones . . . he could be mistaken for an androgynous rocker."

Cimino - apart from admitting he lost 80 pounds and underwent jaw surgery - denies any facial alterations, chalking everything up to his spiritual transformation.

"If you look at Buddhists," Cimino tells VF, "sometimes they appear like they are getting younger. If you're evolving, it's going to show in your face. The premiere example . . . is Marlon Brando, who is getting nuttier every day."

As for long-time speculation that he was a pre-op transsexual, Cimino said: "Maybe everyone got me confused with [Gene Simmons]," referring to the rocker who used to live on his property. "If [Simmons] keeps going, he's going to look like Bela Lugosi in drag."

Although Cimino claims his personal life is full of "work, sex and cars," his pals admit that he "snapped" after "Heaven's Gate" failed.

"Michael is the sort of person that if you take away his money, he short circuits," said Cimino pal Mickey Rourke. "Hollywood hung Michael by his heels, and that little [bleep] Robert Downey Jr.? He's gotten a million chances!"

Clint Eastwood, who starred in Cimino's 1975 flick "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot," said, "The accolades for 'Deer Hunter' probably made [Cimino] think, 'I am a genius.'

"If you're prepared to accept reviews calling you brilliant, you'd better be prepared to accept reviews saying you're a bum . . . Michael needs to make an intimate, smaller picture." But right now, Cimino has no films on the horizon. He's focusing on his novels instead. His "Big Jane" was just published to rave reviews in France and he hopes to bring it to the U.S. later this year.
