"Andromina: The Pleasure Planet"
Andromina: The Pleasure Planet (1999) is a very soft soft core from Surrender Cinema. It is about an expedition to the all female planet of Eros via some sort of transporter travel to bring back women for the cosmic brothel, Andromina. Eros is full of hostile tribes of women, and by inter-galactic treaty, off-limits for men. Naturally, our three heros separate, get into trouble, then seduce the man haters and bring them back to Andromina. Seduction consists of showing the women their many chests.
Forget about acting, they certainly did. Severl women shows breasts or more, including Flower, Susan Hale, Griffin Drew, Michelle Turner and Shannan Leigh. The simulated sex was brief, not at all explicit, and had no heat. The DVD was extremely grainy. IMDb readers have this at 3.3 of 10. Surprisingly, women score this at 5.0 against a 2.8 from men, making it a chick flic by our definition. I would guess the theme of a planet run by women is the reason. This is just barely adequate late night entertainment, and so C-.

"Carrie" (1976)
In "Carrie" (1976) Sissy Spacek and Nancy Allen show
their true colors. It sure looks like this week is
Sissy Spacek week in the Fun House, doesn't it? Five
clips in all with only one side note: a full screen
version would have probably shown a lot more of
Sissy's nether regions than this widescreen
version. All DVD's are widescreen and on TV they
also always air the widescreen version over here. Oh
well, maybe one day I'll find what I'm looking for.
"Alice ou la dernière fugue" (1977)
The second movie is not available on
DVD as far as I know. In "Alice ou la dernière fugue"
(1977) you can admire Sylvia Kristel in all her naked
beauty. It's a surrealistic Claude Chabrol movie in
which it is very hard to distinguish imagination from
reality. But that doesn't really matter when you watch
these two clips, does it?
Scoop's note: Kristel really looks great in
these clips!

Señor Skin takes a look at Collector's Edition of the Beatles-before-they-were-famous movie, "Backbeat". A great watch with 90's versions of the classic Rock n Roll cover songs the Fab 4 played back in their Hamburg days. Plus...there is some very nice nudity. Sheryl Lee is topless in most of these (with brief full body nudity in links 1 and 2). Finola Geraghty shows all 3 B's while modelling.

Pat's comments in yellow...
FRAT BOY CINEMAPHILES
Buffs In The Buff - Police in Durham, North Carolina, got a noise complaint
about a frat party at Duke University, and when they checked the basement, they
found a number of frat boys in an inflatable pool filled with baby oil and
women in bikinis. Apparently, they were movie buffs. A police spokesman said,
"Inside were several of America's future, re-enacting a scene from the movie
'Old School.'" Police cleared out the revelers and sent some of the women home
in subfreezing temperatures, wearing nothing but bikinis.
I think that was a tribute to the immortal "Girls Gone Wild" film series.
Upstairs, some drunks in togas were paying homage to "Animal House"...And
in the bedrooms, there were some stimulating reenactments of the seminal film,
"Deep Throat."
1990'S NOSTALGIA NIGHTCLUB OPENING
Get On My Nirvana - Tomorrow in Greenwich Village, the first nightclub based
on 1990s nostalgia will open. Nerveana will play 90's music and videos, and
the decor includes posters of the Spice Girls and "Beverly Hills 90210,"
replicas of Forrest Gump's bench and Monica Lewinsky's stained dress beside a cigar,
and a white Ford Bronco below a screen that shows a continuous loop of the
slow police chase of O.J. Simpson. Mixed drinks include the O.J. ("It's to die
for!") and the John Wayne Bobbitt ("A cut above the rest!") Co-owner Robert
Watman told Reuters that these days, the nostalgia curve seems to be getting a
little faster.
By next week, this club will be closed, and we'll all be nostalgic for it.
By summer, we'll be getting nostalgic for the future.
The good news: we no longer have to pretend to be nostalgic for the '70s and we skipped the 80's!
