"Carnivale" (2004) day two, episodes 4 - 6.
Tonight, we have the first full-frontal from Carnival from Amanda Aday as a Hoochie Coochie dancer. Carla Gallo again shows breasts, and Judith Hoag also shows breasts as a hooker.
Spoilers Ahead
The series is ultimately about a struggle between good in the person of Ben Hawkins (Nick Stahl), the kid rescued by the carny, and Brother Justin Crowe (Clancy Brown). Neither knows at the beginning that they are destined for anything special, but Ben is haunted by dreams he doesn't understand, and is obviously an escaped prisoner. Justin, and his sister Iris, clearly have a strange history, and an even stranger relationship. We slowly learn that Ben's father was a carny, and knew most of the old timers in the show. By the end of season one, we know much more about the backgrounds of the characters, and the final showdown is evident, but has not taken place. There are a lot of characters to get to know on the Carny side, but many less on the Justin side of the plot. To prepare for next season, it is probably only important to know that Ben has begun to realize and accept his powers, and that Justin considers himself the left hand of God, the necessary evil that makes good possible, and is starting a radio ministry.
Other characters on the Carny side include Samson, the midget who is boss of the carny, Jonesy, a crippled ex baseball pitcher and leader of the roustabouts, Appolonia, a comatose psychic and Sophie, her tarot reading daughter whom she speaks through, Ruthie, a snake charmer and love interest for Ben and her son Gabriel the strong man, Felix "Stumpy" Dreifuss, head of the Coochy, husband to Rita Sue, and father to Dora Mae and Libby, Lodz, a blind seer, his significant other, Lila, the Siamese twins, Gecko the snake man, and a mysterious character we never see called "the management."

A Very Long Engagement
(2004):
This film re-teams director Jeunet with the star who helped him
create his greatest success, Amelie. That star is, of course, the
incredibly cute Audrey Tautou, who is the Audrey Hepburn of her own
time, except with a way better body.
Jeunet actually hired Tautou for this film, not for Amelie. He
wanted Emily Watson to play Amelie, and wrote the script with Watson
in mind, even named it for her (the first draft was "Emily", not
"Amelie"). But Watson
backed out, Tautou filled in, the story moved from England to
France, and the rest is in the books.
I haven't seen this film, but I've loved everything else Jeunet has
done, so I have been surprised to see some negative reviews for this
one.

- The yellow asterisks indicate that I wrote the

- If there is a white asterisk, it means that
there isn't any significant humor, but I inexplicably determined
there might be something else of interest.

NOTE: We currently have to do all of our movie files in zip format. Instead of viewing them online, save the zip files to your hard drive in the directory of your choice, un-zip and play from there.
Today from the Ghost...A couple of video clips (zipped .wmvs) from the direct-to-vid Michael Madsen movie "Sacrifice" (2000). A little trivia, according to the IMDb, this was one of 13 movies Madsen pumped out in 2000. Click here for the Scoopy.com review
- Jamie Luner, the former "Melrose Place" star bares breasts and bum while gettin' it on with Madsen. Amazingly enough, Madsen actually took off his Ray-bans for this scene.
- Leslie Harter aka Leslie Harter Zemeckis (as in Mrs. Robert Zemeckis). Here we see a very brief breast view just before the mysterious serial killer slices and dices her.
- Michelle White, topless as she gets out of the lake after a swim.

'Caps and comments by The Gimp:
For the new year I have three women who have made
their names in triple X films but have also done
softcore work. They are the following:
Holly Hollywood... she used to call herself Stacey
Leigh Mobley in stripper movies and Krista
Allen/Emmanuelle movies .Here she is Holly in
Duchess, a porn movie with a plot. Holly/Sacey is 30
but has a perfectly toned body.

'Caps and comments by Dann:
"King Arthur"
Not widely heralded as very good, this 2004 version of the life of King Arthur is an excellent movie; it simply doesn't continue the fairy tale. Instead of prolonging the myth of Camelot, producer Jerry Bruckheimer's version attempts to imagine how it happened, based on actual history.
What you wind up with is an excellent movie about knights and battles, but it isn't your father's King Arthur, to be sure. In this version, Arthur's knights are conscripted by the Romans because they are fierce warriors, and Arthur himself is a Briton who is also a loyal Roman citizen, until he realizes that Rome's intentions are less than honorable.
Since many of the events portrayed are historical fact, you'll learn some interesting history. Just ignore the King Arthur thing, and enjoy a very good action adventure.
Keira Knightley wouldn't have been my choice for Guinevere, but with black hair, she did a very good job as did all the actors.
